I’ve heard that the tank(ZTQ-15) actually has good gun depression and even adjustable suspension, but it’s hard for me as someone who only speaks English too actually find good reliable info about modern Chinese tanks. Could you comment on any of these features, or the reload rate?
i heard that it has the hydropneumatic suspension in the prototype and change the normal torsion bar suspension in the mass production type but this massage is only come from the internet and i cant make sure its true. you know PLA has good confidentiality regulations for their active equipment especial the detail performance :(
most of the detail performance of the newest vihicle are not allow to publish and only comes from the speculative results of military fans by the video such like talk show and documentary or foreign trade products
Good too know but unfortunate since it means gajjin might have a hard time implementing such a vehicle without speculation, which means it can either be inaccurate in good and bad ways for gameplay.
As far as the hydropneumatic suspension goes, I feel it would make since that the main production version for China would have it, as it was ment too fight in the mountains, but we will see whenever gajjin decides too add this vehicle
im not sure what gaijin will do to AH64D or M1A2T in China TT but as what gaijin did for PLA vihicles which already in China TT , im not so optimistic for the ZTQ15 or in coming other PLA vihicles :(
This question is actually a bit complicated. In addition to technology, it is also related to national defense strategy and culture.Do you know a British TV series “Yes, Prime Minister”? One of the classic lines is that Britain’s national defense strategy is to “make people believe British is defended”
The situation in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan Province is somewhat similar, their system requires them to find ways to make taxpayers happy and less anxious, so often the technical indicators that are disclosed will hide some of the premises and try to mark as high as possible. And China’s strategy, as a whole, is “韬光养晦”, which is a bit difficult to translate, which probably means keeping a low profile, avoiding conflict, accumulating strength, waiting for the opportunity, and so on.Culturally, Chinese is relatively more conservative. If you have a deep understanding of the language and culture of China and Japan, you will find that Japan tends to be more exaggerated in language.Chinese officials, on the other hand, are appointed from above, so they are primarily responsible to their superiors and do not need to think much about issues such as propaganda to the public. Therefore, the exaggeration of equipment indicators in public information often comes from the media and the Internet, while the technical department and the official are more cautious and conservative.
I don’t know the specifics, in general, the VT5 has composite armor while the ZTQ15 does not, and the VT5 has a heavier external protection kit. The VT5’s engine should not be as strong as the ZTQ15. Because the ZTQ15’s power pack is particularly large, which results in a weight of 35t but a large profile. The fire system should be consistent. VT5 is equipment for foreign trade, go to the exhibition site to see Norinco’s new version of the manual should be able to get general information, definitely including pitch angle information. Then compare the turret shape, you should be able to calculate the pitch angle of the ZTQ15, or wait for more information to be revealed.
Video of media interviews shows a loading cycle of about 4.5s. But Chinese equipment publishes the number of fires per minute, which does not directly equal the reloading time, but also includes the change of shell type, the minimum time for ranging and aiming, etc. And the speed of automatic loaders can often be different under different reliability conditions.
+1
Too my understanding in war thunder, the devs are typically generous with how they count a reload, and don’t factor in real life delays like wating for a specific shell too be indexed and then loaded, or for the gun too return too a level position too begin the reload. So therefore the only limit that should be used too determine the reload by war thunder standers, is how long it would take the autoloader itself too complete the task of loading a new shell and ejection of the old one of applicable. I’ve heard mixed thaings about the ZTQ 15 and VT-5 having a shell ejector but when I look at the top of the turret I don’t see anything that looks like a hatch that would allow for shell ejection in the first place, and I have yet too find a single video showing a shell ejection during firing, which leads me too believe that this is false info. I bring such attention too the shell ejection process as it can often add on several second too what would otherwise be a decent reload. A great example is the Soviet T-72 style autoloader, the actual reload too get a shell in the breach only takes about 5 seconds, but the problem is that there is an additional 2 seconds required for the shell ejector too clear the brass before the new reload can begin, a downside too the carousel Autoloader . Given that the ZTQ-15 and VT-5 have a cassette style Autoloader, with no obviously shell ejection port that I can see, it would make since that the shells would be allowed too drop too the floor like on a leclerc or Japanese Type-90/10, since there is no risk too jamming the autoloader system.
Sorry for the long winded segment, but I wanted to offer my potential explanation for why I believe the vehicle should have a faster reload more in line with western Autoloaders
Not always so generous. The reload speed of the ZTZ99 series is directly calculated based on the number of fires per minute provided, so they have the same automatic loader as the T72, but the reload time is 0.4s more. It was later changed to the same as T72 after the player’s questioning.
I’m anxious to see this
Suggestion passed to the developers for consideration.
