Yugoslav Ground Tech Tree (Including Bosnia, Croatia, N. Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia!)

That would be highly unfortunate since Yugoslavia can offer other premiums

I present to youuuu… A rat to fill the AA line! I don’t think this thing’s been posted here before. So here you go Croats. You eat well today.

Description of the vehicle:

The Croatists developed a variant of the modernization of the BMP under the designation M-80А1, on which the 30-mm gun and the new MSA are installed. Also created a prototype of the BRM-M80AI and 20-mm ZSU M80A SPAAG.

Was this ever built?

i believe a prototype turret was build for the chasis but the project never took off and was replaced by others. would still fill a good spot at like 7.0 the chasis was already a widely used one. the only difference here is the new turret

Well if the turret is unique and built that at least allows it to be added in DCT events

there’s a whole list of vehicles built in yugoslavia with whacky modifications where only 1 functional thing was built. no clue why the militairy threw around money like that, but now we can maybe get them in warthunder in 10 years if the devs stop adding copy paste vehicles

The vehicle in the drawing is the ‘SPAT 40/2’ or ‘AS-83’ with two 40mm Bofors cannons and it was never built. It wasn’t Croatian but a Yugoslav project cancelled due to the breakup, the M-80A1 (30mm) you mention was an actual Yugoslav project built and is present in the large tree.

The good news is the Yugoslav SPAA line is already perfect to begin with. The only problem it had until now was a lack of an early radar AA, but it’s fixed now that Gaijin implemented optical tracking for more vehicles since the SPAT 30/2 and even the Kurjak aka the Serbian Wiesel have it. I’m waiting on the OP to post the updated trees with new vehicles we’ve found and BRs for Rank VIII etc when they have the time.

The simple answer is that the JNA as a whole could.
The JNAs economy fell outside of the national economy for a long time which meant they got away with many projects which ended in cancellations
Obviously the other spending would eventually catch up with the JNA but did create some interesting prototypes

I understand that people want their own country in this game, however i see a lot of already existing vehicles.

The less copy paste, the better ;)
But yea +1 for more playable nations

As if there are no other trees with a lot of already existing vehicles filling in huge gaps

Yea thats the entire problem. Gaijin gets lazy, starts putting already existing vehilces into tech trees to fill gaps. But this unfortunatly means a lot of unique vehilces don’t get the chance to become part of the game.

Post shall be updated soon.

will this be modified in any way?

Probably a remote anti-drone weapon station will be added.

Maybe if one day buddy lasing gets added, the Kosava/Whirlwind doohickey laser guided bomb launcher with rockets strapped on could be added
