This really annoys me tbh, people have only heard that they are going to add United Korea and other tech tree enjoyers immediately lose hope.
Never lose your hope

Yup! And on top of that, here’s probably the biggest hopiumbomb yet:
A nation which doesn’t have it’s own separate ingame TT getting a few of it’s vehicles added to other existing nations as premiums or event vehicles does NOT imply it won’t eventually get it’s own separate TT, infact, it’s quite the opposite.
Just look at the Strv 81 RB.52, which was the only Swedish vehicle in the whole entire game for literal years (2016-2019), and it existed as a Premium in the British tree, before it was removed and then readded to the new Swedish one instead when it became a thing. This was exactly what also happened with the Israeli AH-64A Peten and event Merkavas in the US tree before Israel became it’s own ingame tree.
So really, if there’s anything that should be taken away from this, it’s that this could be if anything a positive sign that we will eventually get an independent Yugo TT, and I am just as excited about this possibility as everyone else here is, if not more!
But the problem is that the vehicle is top significant to be a premium. One of only rank VII attacker options, even the only one if moved up to Rank VIII
That is an understandable concern, but I think we’ll just have to wait and see what Gaijin announces, as a lot of the speculation around this is based on educated guesses rather than any officially verified information.
I forgot to mention that this was posted by the official YT channel of the Serbian Armed Forces just a few days ago:
This being uploaded barely a couple of weeks after the J-22M1A was unofficially leaked as an upcoming vehicle is one hell of a coincidence, I’ll say that much!
I sure do hope you’re right, but this case would be a little different since this is an actual pack premium we’re rumoring about and you know how Gaijin doesn’t like messing with those and their placements, the Merkavas for one were event vehicles and are still available for the US for those that unlocked them.
Eitherway, I’m hoping for a miracle with this one, cause I really have no idea where this thing would go; The USSR for one is saturated with midrank jet premiums in the area it might find itself in, Italy already has the Ghibli that may occupy the same niche… So I’m going to say that it’s either Yugoslavia for sure or something outlandish, like having it’s placement be in France or something equally as strange.
Rather have it in France than something like Isr*el
I hadn’t even considered Israel as an option for it to be honest, but yeah sure, they have Greece, Cyprus and maybe some vehicles from Singapore too, which is plenty to work with.
The original AH-64A Peten in the US tree and Strv-81 RB.52 in the British one used to both be pack premiums when they still existed, so I don’t that should be a problem in this case.
As for it’s potential placement, it’s quite a toss-up but I’d like to believe it will go to Italy, as they are the closest geographically and already have the IAR-93B. Now as you said, Italy does already have the Ghibli but it’s been in the game for a while now and it’s not exactly been a best seller, so Gaijin might be looking to retire it from the store and replace it with the Orao.
The USSR I personally consider to be less likely for several reasons, but it’s mainly down to the fact that the Orao is an indigenous Yugoslav/Romanian design, not a Soviet one and that putting it in the Soviet tree would give the Soviets access to Western munitions like the AGM-65 Maverick, which I don’t think would go over terribly well.
France I hadn’t even previously considered, and I suppose they technically could be an option since the modernized J-22M1A has a lot of French electronics, but that’s where any and all connections end, so I’d personally consider France to be an even less likely option than the USSR.
All of this is just personal speculation on my part though, and I could be totally off the mark. We will just wait until later this week when the trailer and dev servers drop to find out, as the Orao still hasn’t even been officially announced yet.
It has more connections but is less likely?
Well yeah it’s because gaijin are biased and would pull any wxcuse to put it in the USSR tree.
We will just have to wait upon it’s destination
The teaser for the next update just dropped, and we now have an official confirmation of the J-22M1A coming!
Dang, beat me to it, lol.
But yes as @PlayedStatue626-live says we will just have to wait to see what nation it will come to.
USSR tech tree
Dont say it not yet we still have hopes
Next update Croatian rafal will be a premium in the italian tt lmao
Serbia bought Rafals, so Russia will get them next update
