You should check the period when Japan built the Yamato class.
When the Yamato class was built, it was a time when aircraft carriers were not yet confirmed to be absolute. Moreover, Japan quit building battleships earlier than any other powers at the time and switched to aircraft carriers.
Well, there is also the factor that Japan did not have the national power to build battleships while building an aircraft carrier every week like the U.S. did. :D

Too early. They should have left the other addition some breathing space before adding the ultimate supressor of all others.

Try to keep the discussion on the ship only, Some parts of what i deleted can lead to discussion of actual political and religious issues which is prohibited due to the provocative nature. And in general is a touchy subject to some.

You can take the topic to PMs. But it’s best to not discuss such topics like that here :)

Sorry, it was my post that mostly led to that side of the discussion. I will refrain from doing so in the future

Would be nice to finally get the walkable avatar back from the April Fool’s Day 2 or 3 years ago permanently, to walk around this ship (and of course all the others) for real. This would be stunning and the closest thing to reconstructing it in real life.

(Yes, I know Nvidia Ansel exists, but that it not the same as an integrated avatar and not all players have Nvidia)

So it’s useless to give us Richelieu, thank you, really ☠️👌🏻

Years without a single 7.0, suffering versus outstanding ship, and when it finaly come, you crush it with the strongest battleship ever…

Tho if its 1945 before operation Ten-Go it is missing some AA, has wrong scout plane and should have like 3332 crew.

Too bad there are no aircraft carriers in warthunder yet. So nobody gonna be sending those 400 planes (which would sink any battleship in matter of minutes). Yet Musashi for example survived like 20 torpedos 17 bombs and it sunk after 4 hours from minor damages none of which penetrated its main armour.

“Still, the fifty-thousand-ton battleship refused to sink. King George V blasted away at a range of 1.5 miles with all ten guns, point-blank range for battleships. The heavy cruisers Norfolk and Dorsetshire joined in the battle. The ship’s superstructure was turned into scrap, and the ship was burning from many fires. Hundreds of crew lay dead or dying, and a pillar of black smoke followed it.”
