Doubt and it would catapult the BR higher against jets which are just better (still tho, wish one day to take Yak in naval, it just fitting)
The Bison—a faster plane with 2 R-73s, much better RWR, more and larger countermeasures, and better radar—sits at 12.3. 4 R-73s could very well keep the 141 at 12.7

Yes, but Bison still a MiG-21 with fancy hardware. Plus Yak-141 have R-27ER/ET which acts as balancing “compensation” (remember MiG-29A? Same deal and reason why they refuse to give it historical R-73s)
Look, Im not argue really argue against it, just thinking it will 100% catapult it higher, there it will facetank missile busses (Su-27 is 13.0 in AirRB), but also face early Fox-3 slingers

Exactly, keep it how it is right now. I don’t want to fly yak 41 at 13.3 with fox 3s or at 13.0 with 2 r73s.
so any news about the R-77, R-73, Kh-25 and Kh-31 on the Yak-41?
I would assume they’re just leaving the yak 141 to rot, it’s served its purpose as an alternative to mig 29

At least we got less wasteful flares. 141 at 12.7 is still very good, because you actually have more than 2 useful missiles, compared to MiG-29 and in a direct 1v1 (if it ever happens) you can meme people out of the air with VTOL shenanigans

Thankfully none, I don’t think anyone in their right mind wants this at a higher BR.
at least put it at the lower br… its loadout were not even relevant for 11.7… let alone 12.0

They won’t give it R-73 and R-77 because this aircraft can only carry 4 missiles. Giving it these missiles will completely destroy its balance, causing it to land at 14.3 BR.
That’s the logic of gajin and others undersmart people
it would be 13.3 max
it would be somewhat compareable to the 13.0 amraam slingers
and it would be heavily limited avionics and missile wise

I would say it’s 13.3 worthy. It would be the best air frame with fox3s at 13.0, which is probably not fair. I think it would be a 29smt equivalent at 13.3, better flight performance, essentially same radar and worse rwr as trade offs
We want prototypes that never were armed or didn’t fly or weren’t built besides a mockup to be removed not functional prototypes
