The rotation speed is going to be the same as Sgt York, so 90 degrees per second, I know this because it was build to fight the same scenario as GLAADS and DIVAD which was a plane going 300m/s 200 meters above the ground 200 meters from the fire unit which requires 90 deg/sec to track.
Watch it just be ai art again with no meaning behind it…
(I pray that’s not the case, but it’s gaijin ofc)
Excellent find btw, I’ve literally only just seen this reply, i thought I’d see how the suggestion was coming along.
I think XM246 in number five
Correct, I highly doubt that any of the vehicles in this decal are accidental or a product of AI.
Now that the XM246 has been leaked for the upcoming major, I have to pray that Gaijin will give it the appropriate proximity ammo.
While some might prefer this vehicle at 8.3, there are other options for this BR that won’t require heavily downgrading the vehicle’s IRL capabilities; not to mention that the M247 also getting its own prototype airburst ammunition sets a precedent that I hope Gaijin will follow.
its just a slower and probably worse gepard with hevt so probably m247 down 8.7 and 9.3 the 246
The problem with all gun-radar AA guns in the game is the extremely not accurate radar and the inaccurate work of the ballistic computer. Both of these factors work in such a way that in many cases the target is almost impossible to hit. Even with long bursts and overspending of shells.
In reality, radars are much more accurate, thanks to Devil06 who was one of those who raised this issue (using the ZA-35 as an example, but this applies to all SPAA). Perhaps the poor accuracy of the radar is more or less real only for the early ZSU23-4.
In other words, in reality, a pilot on an airplane must constantly maneuver in order to avoid getting hit by shells and still it is not a guarantee to avoid a shell, and not like in the game, where you can hang on a helicopter or fly straight on an airplane, but the Gepard still won’t shoot you down.
I’ll still vote Yes. If only they fix the radars and ballistic computers.
Not ZA-35, but Marksman
Other than that, yes it applies to everything. Based on marksman example, its drift is 3x what it should be.
Yes, sorry, I have a bad memory. I wrote above about the accuracy of the SPAA gun radar, I need to add that this also applies to missile SAMs. Otherwise, the radar accuracy in reality was not enough for a direct or close hit by a missile.
I was wrong, in reality the accuracy of the ZSU23-4 radar for the early SPAA is quite good. 6 divisions of the angle meter; 6×3.6MOA×2.908cm×20=12.56 meters at a distance of 2 km or ~6.3 meters from the target acquisition center at 2 km. This is a good result.
I would still consider that bad, as at 2km marksman should have max 2m
Well, marksman has a more advanced radar and better, longer-range 35mm guns. And for ZSU23-4, 2-3km is the maximum firing range. By the way, in the game, the accuracy of the ZSU23-4 radar is much worse. I probably need to create a bug report, but I’m afraid that it will not be accepted again.
Gaijins should really rework the radars, they are currently inaccurate and unstable - basically a scam.
with HE-VT or without them, its going to be 8.7-9.0 minimum in my opinion, why? It’s a gepard which doesnt go to Germany, also bonus overtier points for being american ^^
Britain, Japan, and China also have Gepard equivalents and they’ve managed to maintain a BR of 8.3 alongside it, so I don’t really see your point.
Eh, I kind of exaggerated about the gepard thing, but I can be sure of one thing regardless of br - it’s not getting an accurate radar lol
If it gets proxy round, it will be higher in BR than the rest.
Of course, pitold was suggesting that it would be 8.7-9.0 minimum even without proximity ammo, and as a counterpoint was providing similar vehicles that are currently at 8.3 despite not being in the German tree.
Without proxy I do not see a reason to put it higher than 8.3, unless they move the rest of KDA users around
