WW1 to Interwar 1939 Gamemode

Looks like a Chinese FT-17. The gun isn’t the usual 37mm SA18 gun commonly found on FT-17 but the « 37mm type 14 Liao ». The only source I found mentioning the name of the gun was a Flyhawk model kit for the tank. It would need some additional research.

Im not shure but that reminds me of a Benz Gaggenau. (Maybe not that exact model below, there are minor differences. but @Spr4yz may know more.)

Anyone know a German 105mm SPG aside from the Rauchwagen Krupp?

There was reportedly a 10,5 cm Flak L/35 on a Mercedes Chassis (by 2 books/USA Data), but i have not found any picture evidence. (The mentioned Illustration is sadly a missidentification and not even a Mercedes Truck.)

(Maybe also Nb.Fz. Prototype with 105mm gun? Would be kind of a stretch.)

+1 Definitely should be added. Granted WW1 vehicles would be pretty bad they could still be fun in their own way. Personally I would love to see aircraft like the Sopwith Camel, Bristol F2, and the Fokker DR1 in the game.

could very well be

For the Russian FT, it’s not a Renault FT but really called Russkiy Reno.
they do look the same. but it’s an unlicensed copy. Russia built it by reverse engineering and captured Renault FT left by the Russian whites and the allied volunteers that supported them. they had a weaker Italian engine. the guns were either the 37mm SA18 taken from the damaged Renault FT or a 37mm Hotchkiss taken from the naval reserve. the Hotchkiss are those with the barrel slightly longer. the overall weight grow a bit. they are a full 7 tonnes instead of 6.7. the transmission is better which gives 8.5 km/h instead of 7.8 km/h

Here is an additional French prototype

Delaunay-Belleville Medium tank (Renault FT with a 37mm on the hull which can be seen behind the track on the right side)

FAMH B1

FCM medium tank

Renault SRA

Renault SRB

D2 (1935)

UK also gets its share of interesting tanks

A6E2

A7E1

A9

Matilda I

Medium mk.1

Medium Mk.2

Medium Mk.3

USA too got some wacky tanks to add

M1 convertible medium tank

M1 light tank

M1918

T1E4 (this one is not based on the T1 light tank but inspired by the vickers 6-ton

Germany
consider the Panzerkampfwagen Neubaufahrzeug to your list. it’s kinda a German equivalent to the FCM 2C, T-35 and A1E2

Russia

T-35-1(every guns is down-gunned

Added. Ty for your input.
Nvm, additional stats would take too much time.

It would take you too much time. You are just suggesting a game mode, the vehicles and statistics will be important only if it gets added

True, but could still be interesting to people non the less. But yeah, propably too much time consuming.

would we be able to keep the vehicles

id love a sopwith camel for customs and even real matches

What do you mean? Both comments.

This isnt a suggestion for a 1 time event, but for 2 new Tech trees and a 2nd Matchmaker.

So yes, you can research the vehicles, take them in normal matches, together with any other current in game ground vehicle, but also in an own 2nd Matchmaker with only ww1-interwar 1939 vehicles.
Thats what this suggestion is for.

I’m looking but can’t find a good enough match. What little I can tell is that it looks quite German, and the tires are solid rubber which places it likely pre-1920, since most trucks started using larger pneumatic tires around the mid-1920s. New trucks were quite rare after the first few years after the war due to the quantity of war-time trucks the governments sold off flooding the market.

I’ll look for more later/tomorrow. If anyone has more info on the photo, please share.

This?
75 mm Krupp SPAAG

Sadly not, that is also a 75mm BAK L/35 Krupp gun.
Or that is also a missidentified gun and a recoil suppresed verion of the 105mm.

oh thanks i didnt fully understand never mind :)

There’s so many interesting vehicles that could be added if we ever get WW1. Hopefully we will see Gaijin expand the game to this era of warfare
