Already have and stated my issues
i would expect something fancy from such a turbo huge enginineering bay that thing gets for an engine and transmission
if you actually did that in a real tank, either youre gonna keep going in the initial direction for a while due to inertia or flip over from the track acting like a massive brake.
Thats true, but this also a game where aircraft will not snap under constant 14g loads, the pilots somehow are still alive, and helicopters can maneuver with no risk of rotor tilt causing a fatal crash.
tradeoffs for a simcade game i guess
would like that to change.
no true, they can rotor tilt and have a horrific crash, however its watered down by too much
Do u have an example? I have not seen this in game, and on all the helicopters Ive used ive never had my rotors break from doing crazy manuevers.
I cant really screen record but when you are really stupid in movement in most helis on test drive and your rotor speed goes below 70% (which is already garanteed death) you do just roll over and slam into the ground
He’s right about this. Try descending rapidly in any Bo155 or other heli.
Fair enough then
I went 8 km/h faster than you and ended up coming out of the turn with 13 km/h more
I want it simply for a reason to differentiate vehicles more and make them more unique. Currently I feel very little incentive to play high rank vehicles simply because many of their modern features that make them unique over ww2 vehicles, are not implemented or oversimplified to the point, where those modern vehicles just feel like sped up ww2 vehicles.
Yes it 100% needs to added as a mechanic.
Could very well be, yes. Most US WW2 tanks had a differential system from Cletrac (or based on it), which means their tracks share power between themselves but cannot turn in opposite directions. Tanks like M3, M4, M5, M18, M24 are therefore in the peculiar situation of having regenerative steering but not neutral steering. The M26 had a different transmission but it worked similarly to the aforementioned, so like them it also had regen but no neutral. This makes them single differential, which is probably why they have issues in game.
Speaking of, I wonder if putting “single_differential” in the tank_rs.blk would make them work
might low key be OP does Abrams get this guys
Nope. It just reverted back to regular clutch brake steering.
I tried “single_differential”, “cletrac”, “controlled_differential”, “differential”, “single_diff” and none of them worked.
Most likely they simply haven’t accounted for single/controlled differentials yet and don’t have code for it
I think it’s easier to list the MBTs that don’t get this than the ones that do
but it does have it IRL and USA Abrams are supposed to be getting that turret buff since half got it then half didnt weird anyway this is actually crazy its perfect circle turning
“a guy is behind me… time to press the funny button and do a perfect 2 second 180 with a 4 second Japanese reload on a type 10”
Here’s the Sep V3
It’s on the dev server already, along with hull buffs
