Work-In-Progress: Regenerative Steering — Should We Add It? Try It & Leave Your Feedback!

The videos I’m talking about literally have no buildings in them.

I am not talking about videos testing the current Dev iteration; I am talking about videos showcasing how it should and could actually work with minimal refinement;

Oh! You want a video with buildings? Here; do you see the user breaking a single sweat not to slam into a building? Turning radius across streets is nearly identical to the ingame one, except without coming to a full stop if you dare turn at higher speed.

That’s not what I’m asking for at all no, if anything we need to use this new steering system as a push for better maps, not delay the new driving system in hopes better maps come.

If you’ve ever played a game of top tier, you’d realise that not everyone is good at driving in this game

Yea which further worries me about this system

I think it was even earlier that that. Started as Centurion or Chieftain/Challenger related suggestion iirc

Actually you might be right the 1st Centurion got added in 2017

Hahah.

Basically, it was done right when 1.71 “New E.R.A” was announced. People fould RIDICULOUS the idea to even start getting modern MBTs without regenerative steering, hahah.

Now, here we are… people advocating for 2020s MBTs to turn like 1920s tractors only because it’s easier to drift-pull 180º turns at top speed.

I think the M1128 might turn tighter than this which is saying something

Thing is, now you can zigzag across the map with no loss of speed.

With the current Live system, you would come to a full stop in a 90-180º angle the second you pressed A/D lmao. Or, at best, don’t lose bearing but lose 60-80% of your speed.

Or do you only care about having the most unrealistically tight turning possible?

Again this is the only valid point to this system but many will agree that the stability of the current system is valued higher to them than getting to a rat spot a few seconds faster

Here’s your tight turning. All I did was holding down W btw, it can’t be easier than this

Because of how maps have been designed the game has a heavy emphasis on brawling and regen is just flat out worse for it.

Please watch the videos Ravanex just uploaded.

Driving at full speed across a city, except without losing speed.

Do you REALLY have an issue with this? Do you REALLY find it detrimental to mobility in ANY way?

Right now multiple maneuvers in those videos would result in your tank coming to a full stop. With regen steering it just keeps going

It’s an absolute NET improvement in mobility in each and every single imaginable way, yet some STILL manage to argue that it’s somehow a nerf…

Cool, but this is unofficial. Doesnt mean much because yours and gaijins interpretation of how it should be added could be vastly different.

Actually I do, im quite fond of how the tanks I play handle already and would rather lose speed to keep how they handle

They saw the Leopard 2 (which might or might not been nerfed intentionally by Gaijin…) and decided that it’s bad. Good job from Gaijin I have to admit

Okay, then try the Type 10. It’s pretty much the same as these three

Ive seen the type 10 too. Ive also played GHPC which did a good job at regen. It still sucks for this game
