I wouldn’t mind that being a consistent thing, with exports being an update late.
But at the same time Gaijin seem to prefer adding a model they make everywhere at once, and in cases they don’t they tend to forget about it for far longer and/or end up making it non-techtree only which I don’t really like.
Basically if it’s clear that it’s only a matter of time I don’t mind the delay, but I don’t want to risk how they might handle it if such a promise can’t be guaranteed.
Persobally I really like this style of devblog. It gives something to be excited about, but because it’s unfinished also still leaves questions like what variant(s) it will be or what nations get it.
Errr, because the nation that built and operated it should get it before the nations that bought them once they where retired from service in said nation.
Honestly the time required to grind it out as a squadron vehicle would negate the issue, if you couldn’t just buy them with GE.
Yeah, that part of the reason I’m saying it should be Squadron in the JP tree (aside from there being TT and premium sabers already), the grind time would effectively provide the delay, aside from the GE aspect…
But honestly its just my preference, I’m not going to throw a major tantrum if it gets added to JP at the same time.
We could. though, as nice as it is to finally get an Sabre in the British TT. I dont really want to see the rest of year being only Sabres being added
(3x RAAF variants and 2x RAF Variants)
Happy for them to all come eventually, but slowly, as additions alongside other things over the next 2 or so years.
If we assume this is a Mk32, with 9Bs or maybe firestreaks, then I think 9.0 would be okay, should be 9.3, but I dont think it would have the performance for it with the current extreme compression.
Bro if you get your life ruined by ONE comment in wich i say that i think it’s early for the sake of the game to be making this kinda of posts… my friend you have a bigger fish to fry
Honestly not a bad idea. Since there’s technically three different variants (stock Mk.32 from Malaysia, Mk.31 and 32 with new rockets from Indonesia) they can also still add techtree aircraft later.
Ideally it would be something like Mk.30 and Mk.32 for Australia, with a squadron Indonesian Mk.32
This way there can still be both Indonesian Mk.31 (because the Indonesian one is more unique and deserves to be techtree) and Malaysian Mk.32 (because they just lack options) in the techtree later
I dis read the article, i am saying that it’s not a good choice given the past record with the latest updates. I would have published it oen week later. The rest js impeccable
Transparency is always good. But this does read as “Look we have another copy and paste vehicle for you, but please see how these few things are different”. The entire War Thunder player base does not interface with the forums or website and there is solid chance this will still be interpreted as more of the same. Especially when, if we are sticking with the UK tree at this moment, the Vulcan is right there. But I get the intent here and appreciate the extra behind-the-scenes.
This vehicle is one of the longest standing suggestions for the UK tree. The Vulcan doesn’t really have anything to do with this.
Its also not a “copy paste”, but actually unique in many ways as it was extensively modified by the Australians beyond any Sabre we have in game. Thats part of the reason why its explained in the blog, to remove any misconceptions or misunderstandings by those that might be quick to go “wow another Sabre”
We do indeed plan more. However they will be a lot less frequent and consistent than the standard dev blogs. They will be a publication from time to time to showcase things that are in development to help break up the periods between major updates
I’m drooling at the idea of seeing all of them together. Of coruse there is also the F.2/Mk 2, but whether it’s added under the UK or Canada, it being outside the tree is fine as it is nearly identical to the Mk 4.
