Hopefully some day my friend I’ve been praying for it pop up in a sale for awhile. It was always for sale while I was deployed with no interest access, and of course now that I no longer have to worry about that it’s never been back on sale >:(

The P38K will appear later at UTC 11:00:00 and will be a GE premium costing 4880 GE. I’ve prayed for times like this and with the effort of grinding out event planes to sell them I can finally get it. Thank you Snail.

With the amount of money to buy it in my currency it costs more than a light grocery run lmao. I’m just glad I grinded the coupons for the Marut and the Kfir C10 to sell them later. If the P38K didn’t appear I would’ve just saved up for the F2G.
Out of morbid curiosity… what is so special about the 38K? I have it, it is just another P38… Now the XP-38G is a broken one lol, but it will never come back

It’s just special to me in my opinion, I love the P38’s in general and getting the best version (cough P38L you’re still more reliable) to me is a dream come true. I’ve also been trying to get for years now, though I could’ve gotten it way back '21 and '22— I stuck myself just playing germany and barely grinded through the ranks of USA.
XP38G oh man, It’s a shame I was saving up to get it but then the YP38 replaced it. Such a shame.
Very powerful engines.
That’s 1860hp per engine up to a little over 6km. The already very strong P-38L peaks at 1570hp and has a slow dropoff until 7km.

yeah fighting the p-38k is cancerous, most of them are super passive and stay at 7k where they know you cant do anything to them. if it got boosted ailerons it would probably be 6.3 material

Just proves they know nothing about it, a well-flown P-38 can dogfight most fighters very effectively.

Yesterday, me (P38L) and a P51D30 managed to clutch a 2v10. Stats @ the end was me with 4 kills and the P51D got 6. It was amazing. Whole plethora of fighters that could just beat us in any metric and they managed to fumble it.
I’m sure the replay is there somewhere. I was certain that we were about to lose— lo and behold the P51D30 was communicating. Banger plane, banger teammate.

p-38k can’t dogfight for shiii… at least vs any competent plane. When I’m in say a yak 3u, spitfire lf mk9, etc. you can easily stay at high ish speed where the plane locks up quite badly and you can easily turn inside of it
Ok but those are 6.3 fighters minimum lol, the P-38L can already beat many strong fighters and I’ve had success even against La-7s.

La-7 is NOT dead weight, it’s quite good.
well it’s a whole br step lower than the p-38k, it should slam it. also looks like i confused it for the la-9, the one in the chinese tree
