Why is the F4U-7 6.0?

So I got a little curious.

The F4U-4, without instructor limits, is on par with Bf 109 F4 and Yak-3 in sustained turns at their lift limit.

(I was checking P-63A5 as it ended up turning far better than I expected and then I had to check the rest and … These 4 aircraft are basically only differentiated by whoever has better geometry and energy management when it comes to sustained turns (and in SB: The ability to not over-pull and spin yourself into the ground… F4U and Yak-3 have their incredible roll rates as extra advantages over the 109F4 and P63 though.)

(Values are with 0% flaps, 30% fuel, and 110% throttle)

(also granted, sustained turn is not everything to dogfighting.

P-63A5 won this matchup in a live game by making it a one circle fight).

again im not talking about sim

Spitfire and Yak-3 are both leagues better than the F4U-4B. Outrunning an F4U-4B is easy when you outclimb em, and being outgunned doesn’t matter when they can’t get your guns on you to begin with.

And Ki-84 is better than Yak-3 by miles.

Is ıt?

Last time I played with both Ki-84 and Yak-3 was years ago, now I remember Ki-84 use to have insane dogfight capabilities just like Yak-3 but the only thing Ki-84 is better than Yak-3 I remember was the top speed I believe.

Yak3 is 4.3, you won’t even meet it.

Yak-3Ps are at 5.0

I had a decent time spading it. Should be 5.7 max.
