is that what the cockpit teaser was?
Edit:
i just saw the caption, mb
The interesting thing though is the F-86D/L, F-102, and F-89s (with rockets) all had a specialized aiming system developed and implemented, which would essentially be almost like EEGS (just for the rockets). Why Gaijin hasn’t added that for the F-89D, we’ll never know…
EEGS itself isn’t quite reliable, imagine with something less accurate like rockets…

You don’t need to be super accurate when you’re unloading two dozen rockets at a giant nuclear bomber.
If he’s close then sure, but at a distance he may have time to move a bit since bombers in game are surprisingly agile
Tbf you have to remember that those rockets would be used for a bomber intercept, where the likelihood of it devolving into a high G knife fight is rather low (though not impossible, some people really do be like that).
So while in-game they’d certainly be harder to use, it would at least give a bit of an assist
The stuff Il-28s and Yak-28s sometimes pull can absolutely flabber your gast
They would be flying in formation, you can’t pull off like that.
F11 is a funny one because it got retired very quickly
It’s also the only plane to have ever gotten a gun kill on itself afaik
Wasn’t a kill, just a hit.
I heard that story long ago but if I recall correctly the engine died on approach because a round got unstuck upon deploying gear and got swallowed, and he crashed very close to the runway
