Why Gaijin refuse to add the F-15EX

The Chinese block 72 being pobit C+P but with way way worse acceleration past Mach and yet at 14.3 as well.

What gives it worse acceleration?

I have yet to unlock it.

its a F16A upgraded to F16V standard so it has the Original 12.3 engine dog doo doo plane would never get in it ever i think its probably one of worst jets at 14.3 ingame

Yeah literally that. That gives it ever so slightly better dogfight perfromance at <800kmh but how much is that worth at 14.3 (aka perma 14.7)?

tbf its not as bad as that would make it seem because its also 1 ton lighter than pobit (like 10% lighter)

Its more about worse thrust curve, for which even 1ton weight decrease is not enough to compensate.
Left to right: 16C (13.7), pobit, 16V.
Quite a difference I’d say.

See how it kind of hits a soft wall at around 1200ish kmh (M 1) while the other two do not.

yeah I know the overall acceleration is still a lot worse, just wanted to point out that its not as bad as just being a PoBit with a worse engine, and also does have an advantage in losing less energy turning+being able to turn significantly harder

Doesnt feel like that at all, and I played 16V a good lot during NT.
Statshark graphs show the same. Pobit has BOTH more sustained turn and “max pull” turn at all speeds. I really dont know how ADF FM is this screwed with that engine, but thats the data I have.

it does not

PoBit has better sustained but much worse instantaneous turn
and even the sustained is worse at high altitude

Yet it feels trash, because as you see below it turns pretty close to pobit (and top two lines diverge by about 0.4deg at most, mind you, so migh as well be the same), but then you dont regain that speed. Is it worth it? To me, not at all.

(Pobit is orange)

A am not arguing that it is less maneuverable, but rather that turn gains in decimal fractions of a degree per second arent worth massively downgraded acceleration.

?

its a lot more than that
at the red circle its ~1 degree per second and the blue circle its ~3 degrees per second
image

so it is a very noticeable difference
also I never said id take F16V over PoBit only that it does have some advantages

Red circle is like 250km/h, is it not? Does it matter in the slightest at 14.3?
Also I am simulating both planes at 70% fuel and 6xAMRAAM load (which is 1 ton). Not with the default 30% and clean wings. Which is not representative, obviously.

and everywhere faster than that the difference is over 1 degree per second

Simulate that again with 1 ton extra weight. See what happens. And fuel, for good measure.

ok

full fuel and each has 1000kg extra

and the F16V still has a 1 degree/second or more instantaneous pull advantage above Mach 0.4-0.5 and everywhere above that

so yes, as I went into this saying, the F16V has a very clear advantage in instantaneous pull, and I am done arguing with someone who doesnt understand how having over 10% lighter empty weight with the same lift characteristics will always give the lighter plane a noticeable advantage in pull

This is just misleading. Everywhere below Mach 1. Would you kindly extend the graph to about M 1.5, as I did myself.

Otherwise I am convinced you dont really understand the mechanics of toptier.

read above, I am done arguing with someone who doesnt understand basic equations of turn rate/radius

and none of your graphs extend to M 1.5

Unfortunately you’d have to understand that fights dont happen at sub-mach (mostly) at toptier to continue the conversation. Which is not happening, evidently. Well, bad for you then, WCYD.

you clearly do not understand how to read the graphs, given you tried to claim they showed PoBit having better pull when they clearly do not and could never do so if the planes are loaded equally

if you understood what the graph is showing you would be able to know the difference at higher speeds from it

What am I looking at, then? Orange is pobit, as before.

Edit: almost forgot
