Why Gaijin is wrong about the Stinger (it should be 20g in game)

@k_stepanovich

Input on this well crafted counter point?

As always, excellent analysis. I agree with all points you made.

Best part of the WT community is the stuff like this. Its frankly a fun thing to do, I remember spending a few days just carving through old pictures and technical documents to get USN ships their proper radars after gaijin started modeling them all as jank CAXMs.

+1, Hopefully Gaijin will change their view on this whole situation

Of course it should have 20+ G overload, just because the devs BeLiEvE the PRIMARY DOCUMENT indicates peak overload, doesn’t mean that’s a fact.
And it isn’t. The fact and objective truth is that it should have a minimum of 20G average overload.

Yehh it’s only fun when the devs listen and actually action your reports rather than ignoring you altogether lol

Flame thank you for your time lets hope we get this fixed and ofcourse get the BR of those who have Stingers higher as it would be way better if we get the 20G

@Smin1080p @Stona_WT @OrsonES
Any comment on this?

So would it be a decent assumption to assume Stinger C

Their missile is Mistral, a western missile.

Waiting for western equipment to be implemented correctly (Gaijin doesn’t want to, apparently)
escobar waiting

Edit: Who’s flagging my posts? Don’t you have anything better to do?

Best not to reply to users like this who are here to complain further. It was a well crafted reply, the devs won’t answer if the comments are just baseless attacks on the company.

The Stinger is meant to be able to hit a target maneuvering at 7G and 600 knots but currently can’t even touch a MiG-21 maneuvering at 6G and 400 knots. Their math must be wrong somehow or maneuverability increased at the very least. @Flame2512

Due to the small proximity radius and warhead the pK ratio would need to be higher, maneuverability would need to be higher to hit targets maneuvering at 7G. The simple “3x target G load” rule of thumb is used to the extreme here, as it would need at least that amount to hit a 7G target. Maximum overload should be increased to approximately 22G’s which is in-line with other documentation if I recall correctly.

Btw also you can try Igla that supposed to hit 8G + 600 knots targets.

Can you share some sources in regards to the target maximum overload for the Igla?

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t. That isn’t saying much “military experts”…
