Why does my C drive get completely full after playing games for a long time?
If you’re on nVidia, and have experience installed, it’s definitely going to be the highlights footage being saved by default to where it does.
I disabled that shadowplay all together as much as I could. Check the nVidia app if you do have it.
However, my NVIDIA driver is disabled, and after restarting the game, the storage space will be freed up again once the hard drive is full. I’m sure that the screen recording feature of my NVIDIA driver is turned off.
Have you checked for big files on your computer? Which apps fill your computer and lastly if there’s anything being stored automatically (logs and so on).
I’ve checked, but the system’s built-in detection does not work for War Thunder.
Moreover, as long as the game is restarted, the hard drive space will be freed up. After playing 5 to 6 matches, the space will be filled up again.
Next time it fills up, before restarting the game, go look for what files are being generated and deleted that are filling such space
And is it only war thunder?
This is a good application I use for seeing storage space used
Have you tried to clear caches after playing games?
Or did you even open other softwares like QQ/Oopz/KOOK/Discord when playing game? These chat software needs much space of your system for cache. Also the OBS or other recording software would take certain space if you don’t change their default setting about where to put cache files.
Thank you, I will try.
I didn’t do anything; I didn’t run any of those, I just opened War Thunder.
