are we now ignoring the australian made upgrades? you asked, i answered then you went silent.
other top tier stuff uniquely Australian would be F-111 C and G, F/A 18 A and F and the Growler variant, The Australian tiger helicopter, the new Boxer CRV some day (its too modern), AS9 Huntsman an Australianised K9 like the one coming this update as a premium, Redback IFV, then older vehicles live mirages, special mirage prototype, cac sabre, CAC Vampires, CAC Mustangs, CAC Kangaroo, Mosquito, capstans etc.
I’m not sure why people keep saying this. They aren’t ruled by the crown or UK. The crown is purely a figure head, but serve no real power over Australia.
Under the Australian Constitution, the only action performed by the King/Queen is the appointment of the Governor-General on the advice of the Australian Prime Minister.
The Australia Act 1986 eliminated the remaining possibilities for the UK to legislate with effect in Australia.
South Africa and India are still Commonwealth members. They just no longer consider the crown as their figure head.
it was a modified uniquely Australian vehicle with reduced thermal image and improved combat systems. stop moving the goal posts and admit you didnt know and your opinion was misguided already so we can move on.
And in saying that, what happens if a minor nation only has a handful of vehicles and can’t make a branch of its own?
All of Australia’s post-war vehicles are essentially imports. So not really many options there. Even during WW2, in terms of ground vehicles there’s only about half a dozen unique ones left. The rest are all lend-lease.
Wouldn’t then adding them as gap-fillers and premiums (which Gaijin has done) make more sense?
Your telling Australians we dont know how our country works? Australia is CROWN Land, it is still property of the crown. We are a Constitutional Monarchy which still has the Monarch as head of state. The king can not change laws or set them but he doesnt in the UK either. As said multiple times now when I swore my Oath As an Officer I swore it to the crown. All government assets are property of the crown. It’s what it means to still be a REALM.
Probably because it is true. I am in the Australian military and my oath was to the monarchy and not the country. Your ignorance is not based in fact.
Your referencing of the Australia Act 1986 is in no way, shape, or form, directed towards the military. The military is under the monarchy, directly.
I am extremely aware that South Africa and India are still in the Commonwealth, I never once said they were not. I said that they are not under the monarchy, but Australia is.
And when you go to court you swear on the crown. That doesn’t mean if you lie the crown is coming after you, the Australian government comes after you. That’s a figurehead.
Australia lisence builds most of its equipment, what ever they get built over seas is heavily modified in most cases for our requirement. eg mustangs, mosquitos, beaufighters, beauforts, many naval vessels of ww2 for the RAN, vampires, sabres, Mirage III, CAC Sabre just to name a few were all built in australia.
the crown can veto acts of parliament and when the king is in the country he can sit in parliament in place of the speaker. the king can fire a Prime miinister or even the entire government if they so saw fit. just because they dont doesnt make it true.
Ok, so, you really do not understand how this country works.
We have had prime ministers kicked out of their position by the monarchy because they were awful, that is the purpose of the Governor General. Literally to enforce the will of the monarchy, which has resulted in prime ministers been removed from their position. This is exactly the same as the monarchy can remove a prime minister of Britain from their position too.
Now, as War Thunder is about military stuff, perhaps I should remind you that a lot of equipment does have the crown stamped into it in order to easily identify who owns that item; my oath was to the Queen and all of her successors [King Charles III].
A modified australian tank, different to a modified british tank. So what is the line? Does it have to be a gun? Maybe an engine? Whats the line exactly because seems to me like ive given you 2 apples and you think one is a banana
Every tech tree in War Thunder now has a Sherman tank, most of them are just stock standard Shermans with no unique changes. But they are still going to countries that had them in service.
How does it make more sense for a T90 that is built by Russia and put into service with a country that is not under the monarchy to go to the British tech tree; while it apparently doesn’t make sense to have a tank built by the USA and put into service with a country directly under the monarchy go to that very same tree.
Unless you advocate M1A1 AIM-SA to the USA tree and the Indian T90 to the USSR tree; in which case ignore my above statement as it is no longer relevant as that would at least be consistent.
Exactly, in this case its the inconsistency thats most offensive here. I personally dont even care if britain got the abrams but its just the fact usa got it despite its political ties and previous precedence that says it should be british. Then to add further insult they claim adding an unrelated russian tank os because they understand us and have done it to fix the problem. Which is another kick in the face as defies why the abrams is in the american tree as well as they aay its needed but claimed the abrams wasnt.
And those tech trees are in game, representing the vehicles they used. Even then, Gaijin has added US tanks to other trees but left them out of the US tree, like the M4A3 75 HVSS and M26A1.
The Indian T90S was at least built under license by the Indians, but I would have preferred it to go to Russia. I think all this cross mixing ruins the game. I started playing back in 2015 or 2016, when each nation actually had some unique flavor. I don’t like the C&P that has become all too common.
