Why Does Gaijin HATE Australia

So the specific variant of Abrams used by Australia is operated by no one else in the world, do not believe MiseryIndex556 as this person is just fabricating stories to best suit their own desires.

In addition to this, I have sent through a report already (a long time ago (when the aussie abrams first came out) which was passed to developers and ignored) stating that the Australian Abrams is incorrectly modelled (because they hate all of us).

It should have the deployment mandatory Tank Urban Survival Kit (TUSK). The APFSDS should be the KE-W A2 (not the KE-W). The 7.62mm and 12.7mm machine guns should both be using 4B1T ammunition. I did provide a full list of changes but they ignored everything even though I provided evidence (publicly available information before anyone gets upset).

They just hate the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and anyone else associated.

Maybe we have some modifications unique to our market, I don’t know enough to comment, but I am pretty sure there are/were M1A1 AIMs in service with USA as well.

So yes, you are correct of course. I am not at all saying that the US does not operate M1A1 AIM’s, in fact I know that they do operate AIM v1 variants since I believe 2010. However! The Australian Abrams is not actually an M1A1 AIM [v1], it is an M1A1 AIM-SA; the most similar tank in service by another country [that I am aware of] is that of the Moroccan M1A1 SA. On the matter of the Morrocan SA variant [which extends to the US version], there is a high probability that all three users are running their various weapons with different ammunition from different suppliers as part of their own procurement processes, as well as inevitably some other end-user specific systems.

Good to know. I do think it’d be easier for Gaijin to repurpose the squadron vehicle as a USA version and give us an Australian one in Great Britain by another method. Unfortunately ideas and suggestions as you previously alluded to, get ignored. :(

It is impressive how this argument has just gone around in circles for over 150 responses, and nobody seems to have reached the simple solution. Por que no los dos?

My double standard? Please, tell me how it’s a double standard.

I have to agree with Misery here.

Look, I’m Australian and just reading through this thread I think it’s becoming far too heated. What Gaijin should have done for the Commonwealth is have a set of rules to follow.

  • All unique Commonwealth vehicles go into the British tech tree. So indigenous designed and built, or heavily modified.
  • Imported vehicles should go to the nations they were imported from.

So the Aussie Abrams goes to the US, new Indian T-90 goes to Russia, Canadian Leopard 1 goes to Germany.

However in saying that, I would like some changes:

  • Ram II should go into the UK tree, not remain in the US tree. It’s an indigenous Commonwealth vehicle.
  • T18E2 should go into the UK tree, not remain in the US tree. The only American thing about it was the fact it was built there, it was build on order from the British, it was built to British specifications, sent to the British, and used by the British.
  • M4A4 (Sherman V) should be added to the British tree, simply copypasted from the French tree. The British were the biggest user of them, and in fact the French got theirs from the British.
  • M4 Tipo IC (Sherman IC Hybrid) should be added to the British tree, it was the “best” variant of the Firefly. Made and used by the British. Again, just copypaste it from the Italian tree but remove the 5th crewmember, the British didn’t do that.
  • Hunter F58 should be removed from Germany and given to the British tree. Simply by following similar rules provided for the Commonwealth. Switzerland isn’t in the game, and it’s imported from the UK. So it should go to the UK.

I’d rather be able to play Australian lineups. For example, a top tier lineup could easily include the M1A1 AIM, Boxer CRV Block 2 turret, AS21 Redback, Tiger ARH, F-111C and Hawkei NASAMS.
Or perhaps another lineup that includes a Leopard AS1, ASLAV Delco TOW turret prototype, CA-27 Sabre and a Boxer CRV Block 1.

Im woth you mostly. But to be clear there are australian ships in the naval tree, no tanks that arent premium but the air tree has the beaufighter mk21, beaufort and the second short sunderland if i recall was modified by its australian crew to that configuration.

The problem with australia for gaijin is australia is not only a commonwealth member but is still a british realm along with canada, new zealand and a bunch of others. This means the british monarch is head of state. In comman dof our military by proxy and all land and government assets are owned by the crown. This is not the case with india.

Lets also not forget gaijin telling us when the aim was added to america, “britain doesnt need another main battle tank”, “this isnt a commonwealth tree so that doesnt matter”, “australias queen doesnt matter”, “it was built in america so thats where it belongs”.

All of which are not true when they decide to add this tank which is a worse option for the brit tree and filling the gaps it is claiming to fill.

Adding to the list…

Well, no.

While the crown is our shared figurehead, they no longer have the authority to command our militaries. The only power the crown has is to kick out the governor general, or suggest to the governor general to kick out the prime minister.

The crown don’t own anything in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, etc.

But why has Italy the german Lynx? I don’t understand this rulemaking anymore. One nation gets their export vehicles, other not. Cause Hungary is italy or whatever.

Hungary operates the Lynx and Hungary is a sun tree of Italy. Australia is not a sub tree of Britain, South Africa is.

So why are there multiple Australian vehicles in the British tree already?

Maybe things are different in the other countries but in australia the country is still technically crown land, the head of government is the monarch. No law can be passed in this country without the signiature of the governor general who is a pla eholder for the crown. When the monarch is in country the governor general loses all rank and position to the crown. As an officer in the RAAF we took an oath to the Queen and to country. People just dont understand how the country works still being a realm.

The King will continue to, in strict legal terms, own all the lands of Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, 32 other members (around two-thirds) of the Commonwealth, and Antarctica.

There’s a difference between being an official sub tree and vehicles going to the tree they are most logically connected to.

So Hunter F58 going to Germany instead of Britain, the nation that built and exported it and that the British community has been specifically asking for for years is what?

The australian army and its assets are property of the british crown still. In simplist terms the australian government and its assets is on lease from the crown.
