I noticed one thing, 2S38 has pretty detailed modules, but it doesn’t have transmission, i know this tank is fragile but why it doesn’t have transmission like other tanks?

Maybe other vehicles have this problem, but I didn’t notice it (I noticed this problem by accident when i suffered from boredom and test drive it)

It uses the BMP-3 powerpack which the automatic transmission is positioned in the rear, the design was made to be small as possible since the rear section of the BMP-3 can be used to transport equipment and personnel get inside the vehicle. BMP-3 can carry up to five soldiers inside, three in the rear and two in the front.

Unlike the BMP-3, in the 2S38 this place is used for other purposes, maybe for electric equipment and such other things to keep the whole combat module working like clockwork.

The crew have holes in the bottom of the tank for their feet so they can Flinststone the tank around.
The engine is just for show.
