That 6.7-7.7 bracket broke me and I hated every second of that grind, wasnt until the chieftains that I started enjoying ground again.
I have more fun around there too because I’m only playing there to goof off and kill a new player with my AVRE petard.
6.7-8.3 is far too compressed to not burst a blood vessel playing. and I hated the chieftains for the rather poor penetration they have sometimes while having no protection from the relatively new ATGMs they get spammed by

Imo down low Brits struggle a lot but they got pretty decent when you finally get the Chieftains, good thing is their SPAAs are mostly fully enclosed which can survive plane machine guns.

Again…just a warning…britain uses ARMOR piercing ammo (with low explosive filler) of various types on many vehicles…this means that you will usually penetrate the target BUT you won’t kill it with one shot unless you are either lucky or good (usually both).
THIS^^ is not a big issue IF you know it will happen and are expecting it. Brit tanks are usually effective…you need to hit many targets more than one…but you can usually pen everything on the map.
For more “normal” results…Germany or USA are better. Russia also works, but you will have other issue with depression angles.
As to Japan (and all “minor” nations) you will have less vehicles and more difficulty on filling the lineups…and in the case of japan, most tanks are average…i can’t recall a very good one…perhaps Na-To…and it is a Tank Destroyer.

Britain is easier but Britain is harder than Germany, Russia or USA and playing the big 3 is hard enough for a novice.

I mean jet BR is where things get rough for tanks too because you start seeing T72 when you’re still in a centurion, then 2s38 when you’re in chieftains
Yes that is my beef overall.Never really was that muc of a problem in low WW2 tiers when I started. That was before the flooded the game with copy paste artillery and gave every side the same tank. It all folded so soon.
Britain is a mess with all that South African junk thrown in along side WW2 classics.
If we are doing an imaginary game then give us APHE at low BRs and roof mounted 50 HMGs
Britain is ok until you see a certain couple german or russian premium vehicles and then its unplayable
My Brother in law is a top tier guy and I played the Chally and Chally two.They probably do as well as expected given the opposition.Seems silly facing other NATO tanks,cant see the point myself.
As for flying the Tornado etc I am not used to the controls on the PC so I am no judge.
Japan, Italy and France are generally painful, I actually played a lot of France when I was new but their BR 1.0 tanks are among the worst in the game. Once I got the AMX FL11 it was much more fun to play France! I think British is beginner friendly and you can get lots of tanks, it’s a well-supported nation just like Germany and USSR. Many vehicles to choose from. I used to have heaps of fun blasting people with my Crusader SPAA at BR 3.0!
the brits are more better then japanes, firefly 4.7 and comets and many many more tanks are good to play
