Where M-Shorad

Yeah I was wondering if it just had say, 2 or four more Hellfires in the hull. 2 is a nice trick, but you would need more to get real work done. 9X would be cool, but it would turn it into the best short range AA by far in game. Maybe 9Ms would be acceptable.

the stryker has hellfires

“You wouldn’t want it to, it’s mobility that’s, already not great, would be shrunken to almost nothing.”

you would want it if it worked, but we cant have western armor packages be any good can we?

“Abram’s has been proven through and through to have the turret ring weakspots against MBT caliber APFSDS, and not have a spall liner. As for everything else, it would be ridiculous for gaijin to say that, because that simply makes no sense.”

the turret “weakspot” is been prooved to be completely and utterlly unrealistic if anything, not only is it missing like 200mm of rha its also completely unreastic as 90% of turret ring kills come in the form of ricocheting into it. which is not realistic behaviour for apfsds shells, and thats on top of it being too high. and as for the spall liner we have no way to know.

good thing SPALL liners arent meant to stop the actual penetrators right? mate what are you even thinking lmao.

the country which spends the most money in the world on the military in the game having the best short range aa in the game? thats outrageous? considering the us has the best nothing in the game in ground that would be a good start.

What about the Hellfire Humvee, now THAT would be quite something

The spall liner isn’t armor.

So, this is, not my opinion this is from crews of the Bradley, and mounted infantry, who say mobility is more important than armor.

The spall liner also isn’t real.

Bug report says it is.

Bug reports

  • Mean nothing
  • Are simple acknowledgment (not meaning anything)
  • And are also not correct

Even the source for the so called company that produces said “Abrams spall liner” has nothing at all on their page, over their spall liner products.

I’m thinking about how the Abrams doesn’t have a spall liner

(From the company he says produces the liner)

We have hundreds of sources that say the Abrams doesn’t have a liner, and a handful of 3rd party sources that say they do.

trust me when it comes to the russian mains ignore them, they don’t know what kevlar is or what line-x is lol

Back to the topic at hand, how actually effective is the M-Shorad? Hellfires and the Apache gun don’t seem like they’d be that effective against air targets, since the Hellfire is contact fuzed and the Apache gun only has a velocity of ~800m/s. I’m assuming there’s some changes to make them more effective against air targets?

There was a proxy fused round for it now, I believe. Though even without it, the 30mm might be there as a “just in case” something gets too close for missiles.

thre are proximity based rounds for the apaches guns. would easily shred any planes https://cdn.northropgrumman.com/-/media/Project/Northrop-Grumman/ngc/what-we-do/advanced-weapons/LW30x113-Ammo-Suite-Product-Brochure.pdf

and the m-shorad isn’t even an option anymore since hellfire missiles were not made to be used on ground vehicles , even though it was permitted to be placed on the stryker.

The Hellfires would be great against helicopters, the SAMs would be great against air targets.

The Hellfires also are able to target ground targets so you have dual purpose similar to the LAV-AD.

Its not that I am against it, but players/gaijoob would not allow it.
