This is truly f*ed up I’ve seen multiple sources stating the merkava 4 weighs 80 and some sources saying it weighs about 70 this is just stupid from gaijins point of view.
It’s kinda sad to say but in some way we succeeded partially

I was a Merkava 4 loader in gaza so I experienced with getting hit by RPG tandem heads in the hull and nothing happens (must say I was lucky cuz real life isnt gaijin game)
The hull of the Namer is actually bigger then Merkava’s hull, and much higher like they almost the same height considering the Namer does not have turret
the Namer has better armor then merkava hull as I said the hull is much bigger and higher then the merkava hull
a little secret but we used the Namers to shield our merkava from close shooting RPGs and ingame it is just a paper vehicle. this is sad actually

Anything is possible. Merkava and Namer are definitely armored vehicles, but as you noted, the shelling is carried out with HEAT shells and not armor-piercing ones, and it is difficult to imagine what kind of resistance it has to such types of ammunition. I will also note that I saw the tests of shelling SLERA AP shells. There is simply not enough data for correct adjustment, and as we know they are all classified and we can only hope for all sorts of events with this tank IRL. On the CIS forum we are also discussing the possibility of how to improve this tank in the game. It was interesting to learn information from people who worked with this tank ✌️.
The Namer can be penetrated by anything with HEAT of 80mm or more penetration. The front plate cannot reliably stop even WW2 guns due to the strange gaps in armor. Some people will argue they’re vents, which they might be, but they’re likely not that weak.
In general, the Israeli composites have been done dirty.

I wonder if an Armor buff is due, since increasing the mass and leaving it as is, is just illogical to me.

Unfortunately, there is no gain on the armour. The person who submitted the modified weight Issues only provided the weight.

Just a reminder, it took them less then two weeks to fix Mk4 LIC “bugged turret armor” and two years to fix actually bugged shells order.
Chaparral cant get its smokeless motor back - impossible to fix issue
AH-60 exploding after being hit with single bullet and its ircm works as missile magnet, allowing even Aim-9B to get all aspect lock and hit through flares from 1km distance
UPD 17.10.24: Looks like AH-60 IRCM got finally fixed and now it actually helps to evade missiles.

Anyone have a source about the weight of the merkava turret
We don’t even have a solid source for the Merkava’s weight in general, it’d be a miracle if we could get the specific weight of the turret, but who knows, maybe there is unclassified information about it that we have yet to find
