I have a feeling that they simply won’t add a CAS jet until maybe a variant of the Eurofighter comes out.
Seeing as Germany has needed a CAS jet for quite some time now and nothing has come of it.
Its kind of crazy if that’s how they are basing who gets what variants/types. It just simply doesn’t make sense to gatekeep the ASSTA3, as I have a feeling it’ll come as a gimme/late addition when the next wave of superior jets come out, leaving Germany behind yet again.

I have had 0 reason to grind anything in the German tree for a few updates now, and it seems I’ll have to wait longer lmfao.
and of course its a premium.
The only thing you could argue would be the ICE but that doesn’t even make the cut considering its so bad they’re having to move it down in the hopes people will play it.

I eventually got the ICE but was absolutely not grinding for it. The Puma VJTF has been such a bad experience. This prem is going to be the exact same as the TT one, is going to be UNDER top tier where every single Germany player has been pleading for any sort of capable CAS, just nonsense.
Well the Germany is finally getting access to JDAMs…months after everyone else has. A “new” premium strike jet and a “new” bomb exceed Germany’s allowed CAS additions for the year. The ICE was already pushing this limit but Gaijin allowed it.
Yeaaaaaah… That’s why I can envision F18s coming, Germany NOT receiving it and instead getting the ASSTA3. And then in the next update, Germany receives their (swiss) F18, and other nations receive another variant of theirs. And after that, the Eurofighter finally comes, buts its the first variant with nothing notable on it, while other nations must receive something to “combat” it, and get more jets.

Honestly, at this point, Germany is no longer one of the major nations. You want Leopards? Go play Sweden. You want good CAS? Go play US or Russia. You want a good fighter? Play US. The cutoff for when you should stop grinding Germany is about the Leopard 1 for ground and the MLA for air.

With what I know now, I would’ve grinded Sweden. Get the same (but better) MBTs as Germany, better top tier jets, Helis (I guess?) are near the same.
Exactly, late / TT Germany is now a minor nation. I suggest we all start calling it that.

I wouldn’t mind the SHar Vs AV-8B+ balance if they modeled bol right and we do have the better radar, but in the current state, yeah, it’s rough
