What's the difference between the AIM-120A and the AIM-120B?

So i saw that the Tornado F.3 Late uses the AIM-120B. Is it different from the AIM-120A?

Manufacturing improvements etc, nothing that impacts performance.

Do u think will ever get the F-117 in the near future?

Can’t discuss future additions sorry.

wow you say this without any shame? there is really no difference between aim120a and b but r77 and r77-1 in the game there is a difference between these two very balanced

Why are you reviving nearly year old threads to complain about a nonissue to a mod? relax

There’s no difference in WT. What they could’ve done is added the Aim-120A with no updates vs the Aim-120B with the latest updates to simulate “change” but that’s a waste of time frankly.

difference is just visuals and name other than that its a copy paste

In real life, the difference was that the Aim-120A required updates to the missile’s systems to be loaded on a cartridge physically. The Aim-120B was digital.

What’s up my guy? Why do I need to experience shame here?

The AIM-120A and AIM-120B share the same performance in real life, the improvements to B aren’t something that is a stat you can change in game. R-77 vs R-77-1 there are performance differences between the two missiles. A better comparison would be 120A/B to 120C-5. But we don’t have 120C-5 available in game yet.

however ingame its the latter

so why is the su30sm added to the game with a new missile, why is a bad plane like the f18 still using aim120b the copy and paste version of aim120a?

Because that is what Gaijin decided to do.
