What Vehicles are Sweden in most need of ”the wishlist”

Apparently Sweden captured four M8 Greyhound during the Congo crisis and used them for security purposes. Could be a br 1 premium. Nothing spectacular, but amusing nonetheless.

What I personally find the most interesting is the inscription “Ring så kommer vi” (call us and we come). I’d love to see it in the game. By the way, the Congo crisis seems to have a lot of interesting emblems for Sweden, much better than the boring coat of arms.

+1, Sweden has only three 1.0’s besides the premium and needs it to be added

With how many alternative armored cars Sweden could get, I see no reason to add this copy paste vehicle.

There was however, a modified version with two 8mm MGs that I would be happy to support.

I could’ve sworn I had posted a vehicle with both the 8mm MGs and the M2HB at some point, but I can’t find it at the moment.

I pray that Sweden gets a Norwegian f16 as a squadron vehicle in the future.

Oh, I’m not denying that there are more interesting alternatives. However, since the M8 already exist in the game it would not take any effort to add it to the Swedish tree. It’s a free tank basically.

Gaijin released over $500 worth of premiums this update alone, so I hardly see the reason we should encourage low effort additions over higher ones.

because lowtier funtier ;)

might as well class it as an SPAA at this point (/j)
would be funny and cool to see tho

Like I said, I’m absolutely not opposed to the modified version or other Swedish armored cars, I’m simply reasoning why we don’t need a 1-to-1 copy of the American one.

Fair enough, fair enough…
Still would be hella funny though, basically a low tier AA platform, but light tank heheheh

Have the dual MG be a modification, “Congo-Mod”?

A pet peeve of mine is the lack of good Swedish emblems and inscriptions. I love pimping my tanks out, but the vast majority of Swedish emblems are just regimental coat of arms. As I said in a post yesterday, the Congo crisis seems to be a treasure trove for more unique decals, I’ll show some examples below.

“Höken” (the Hawk) inscription. Emblem of a red hawk.

“Wilma” and “Barney”. I’m guessing the images would be copyright protected.

This is not from Congo, but I really dig the company insignia. It’s that of a stone ship, a kind of bronze age burial custom.

Beside the previously mentioned “Ring så kommer vi”, the captured M8s also had some additional writings on them. The one below is named “Bibi-Belle”, the other three were named “Nina-Belle”, “Lulle-Belle” and “Anne-Belle”.

Historically speaking, the Swedish military has been against troops decorating their vehicles for the sake of security and making identification harder for the enemy, but it seems like the old Terrängbil m/42 often got some extra attention nonetheless. A lot of them also seem to have space for a company logo at the front as well, which could also give us some extra emblem variation if more photos could be identified.

Think there was also a video where there was a Strv 122 with what looked like an armed lemur, would be useful against helis since the MGs can’t aim that high

Edit:
scratch that, found the video and it was the SAAB Trackfire rather than the Bofors LEMUR
Def looks like it’s firing tho

yeah saw that one but was thinking with an MG added, assume it would have higher elevation to help against aircrafts
