she is hopeless out matched by fast ships like IOWA or MISSOURI
her actual counter parts are north Carolina and Washington
And launched in 1939. Yes, there’s about 3 years of tech difference between Bismarck and Iowa but that’s not the issue.
As you pointed out in another thread; fires should be basically impossible to climb down Bismarck’s elevators. Similarly, these fires shouldn’t be able to climb down most ships as late as 1920 due to safety regulations, since I know for a fact Hood had a similar hoist construction to prevent fires from crawling down.
I am in agreement; Bismarck wasn’t constructed to fight 65k ton battleships and likely not anything above 50k.

Honestly, Lion is arguably comparative to Bismarck given it’s the 1938 variant and not the 1945D loadout that would make her almost 1:1 comparable to Iowa.
The 40.6s on Lion have worse penetration than IJN 41s at close range and better penetration at long range.

the guns are actually worse in pen than the vanguards but why havent we gotten tirpitz yet ? every other country has there capital ships sisters or equivlants britain literally just got the prince of wales

next highest ship is 7.3 scarnhorst and the 7.0 bayern i also dont think britain knows how to make a 16 inch gun that can do better than there 15s
I know. The tree needs either Tirpitz or H39. Preferably both as tech tree.

The Bismarck sucks real bad if you go enduring confrontation.
Half of my team just left after 4min because we got spawn camped by a Iowa and a russian high end ship.
Couldnt even pen any of them.
Map design yes is one of the problem.
But my biggest one is that the other big 8.7 ships are just beyond the Bismarck in overall terms.
But hey im still searching for that very “intelligent” guy that told me you could easily pen the Russian Ship in the Bismarck. (from beyond 25km)
tbh, PoW should have come years ago when Scharnhorst was dominating, the weaker firepower (relative to Hood) but excellent survivability would have been a decent counter

I suppose the main argument for it is that it gives you something to respawn in. Currently its a 7.0 or 7.3 without a premium, not necessarily that it would be any stronger than Bismark.

shouldve only came when they added the 8.0 bracket for the mutsu ise and other stronger 7.7 ships its over kill

Given just how OP Scharnhorst was, Rodney or PoW would have been fairly reasonable counters for it, both came about 2 years later than they should have done
yes i guess but you would be just as OP so now you would have 2 OP ships ruining the MM ships like at 7.3 youd face stuff like north dakota which cant do anything and would just die
With ships like Amagi & Kronstadt about too, it would have been fairly reasonable.
amagi has mediocre armor and kronshdhat wasnt a fair fight really the POW should only have been added when they added the 8.0 bracket to strong otherwise
38cms aren’t the issue.
The issue is just how durable Iowa and Soyuz are in comparison.
Which russian ship? Kronshtadt can be nuked by Scharnhorst at 32km. Pr23 I’m not so sure can even be penetrated at 25km by Bismarck.
