Can’t beat them then just join them, Prinz Eugen is the best choice for cruisers now.
And also, Myoko class is another choice too. For destroyers, I don’t suggest u buy moffett or frank Knox using GL, everyone knows where their mag is, it is easy to be explosion by enemy players. So maybe PR.56 is another good choice for destroyer.

HMS diamond (this ship is very inconsistent in how successful it is, helpless in maps where it gets same spawn as cruisers but does well on close range due to fast guns. A more fragile version of frank Knox)
Iron duke (it’s a battleship? decent like yamashiro)

Mikuma (excellent cruisers. guns feels better than Nassau and torpedo spam is annoying in arcade).
Yamashiro (not as bad as people say it is, SAP shells with stupid amount of explosive mass)

Avoid RN tigre (heavily overtiered), Courbet (like Nassau, but gets ammoracked muuuuuuuch more), all 4.7 cruisers (they’re VERY inconsistent and cannot rely on destroyer spawn to fight fellow destroyers; completrly helpless against German and Italian 5.7 cruisers)
Coastal recommendations (I have most tier 3 premiums+, if you don’t see them chances are I don’t recommend them, just ask me for specific boats if you don’t see it on the list)
USA -
USS Douglas (funny missiles, basically can take down all enemy boats, rapid 76mm, but extremely easy to ammo rack and pr 206’d)
Germany -
M-802 (coastal battleship)
USSR -
MPK Pr.12412P (not as potent as pr 206 but still got the 30mm goodness which can slaughter coastal boats with ease)
Britain -
Le Orla (rapid fire 76mm, 2x APDS 20mm machine guns and durable frame, can’t go wrong with this)
Japan -
Akebono (this will be your boat in learning how to use HE shells. Turret popper, decent against planes due to radar, very survivable against torpedos, idk if it got nerfed in this regard)
Italy -
Folaga (like a lesser M802)
Sparviero (horrible recoil but rapid fire 76mm)
France -
Unfortunately, french coastat premium VLT-2 sucks. You had to buy a pack and the VLT-2 appears heavily armed, but it is food for 4.3 boats and has horrible survivality.
If you’re looking for a Moffet i sugest to wait next battlepass season, can be obtained for free using warbonds
what do you expect for regular 3.3BR PT boat with 2x bofors against soviet P2W(Play-to-win) coastal machines in 4.3BR deck?
As one of those who pre-ordered VLT-2, I admit that it isn’t cost-effective, though.

First time seeing someone asking what is a good naval premium personally i don’t play naval that much even though i have that Russian naval battle pass ship.
Hope you don’t mind me asking is it any good?
Murmansk is quite good at its battle rating, though hard to fight against most of 5.3+ cruisers

my xperience with facing douglas is that they hide behind islands to farm poor WW2 planes just after they spawned.
full lobbies are basically unplayable for VLT. fortunately most of the times it’s filled with bots, at least in naval RB
Is it good by itself as the only life because the 2 other ships i have are the reserve ones.
BR3.3 with dual 40mm HE shell bofors, it is very powerful couple in BR3.3 boats match dude, the only one u need is control battle distance, shooting further survival longer.
Is the MPK Mr.12412P still good? I’ve been wanting to grind out the soviet coastal tree but I can’t decide on what premium to get.
It’s like the PR 206 in the level of oppression, only less so.
However, the 30mm minigun is less accurate and you have to switch weapons for it to be effective. (The ai can’t use the minigun effectively and will burn your ammo so disable ai gunner)
The 76mm HE VT is way better against planes
But at 4.3, you will see plenty of the same boat, pr 206, and other competent combatants like M802 and Arras which you will suffer against.
I don’t recommend getting it on its own unless you have the SKR-7. Destroyers will always be there, but coastal may not. Coastal is just super inconsistent at 4.3. sometimes you have plenty of boats to sealclub but many of the times only 2-4 coastal or none at all.
A tailsmanned SKR-7 is better choice if you have nothing else.
Assuming you stay at 4.0 and get down tiered a lot, the 3x 100mm gun frigate is also worth of your consideration. I have the Karl Marx and the Soviet premium, and I can say it’s worth it as long you stay at 4.0 and only spawn it when enemies are mostly 3.3 destroyers. Inaccurate guns but good damage (only against early destroyers).
Do you have experience with other coastal trees before? This is important.
