what about HOBS against other aircraft
Then there isn’t any options until they add next gen IR to all nations.
exactly, so 16 AIM-120 on the EX isnt unreasonable since it helps make up for all its other disadvantages at 14.7 where it would probably be
But is it necessary? I just don’t think it is.
Id add the F15EX with 12 at 14.7…
If it needs more, give it 16, if not… Then don’t add them
even if it does you will argue against it
yes, no gimbal radar like on the 14 missile flankers, very weak FM for the BR, probably no MAWS, not a very fast jet at the BR, and it has to use the AIM-120. missile count is all it has going for it really
GNSS especially paired with AESA is pretty strong actually
It’s an F-15E basically 😭 wdym not a very fast jet
The only other jet that’s barely faster is the Eurofighter
isnt it just modeled as 0 IOG drift
it only kicks in when you lose track afaik so if anything it would help M-scan jets more
what about the Rafale, its pretty quick. It will also very likely come with an Su-35 and/or J-16
One could argue that’s what GNSS is lol
Rafale is slightly faster. Point is, the speed (well, acceleration) difference between all the top aircraft are minimal at best and the F-15EX would be similar in performance (more or less) to the F-15E.
Su-35 you can expect similar to Su-30SM2 performance with slightly lower drag due to lack of foreplanes (or canards if you wanna be French/german about it). J-16 should be the same as J-15, no? Same engines and all
navalized jets tend to be heavier than their land based counterparts
maybe, but im just questioning whether it actually ends up being effective enough that the F-15EX should stay with 12 missiles vs the Su-30SM2’s 14 missiles which are all better for most scenarios
Rafale is only faster at high alt due to a bug
J-16 and j-15 have no correlation airframe wise, but huh the J-16 will probably be worse in most regards than the J-15T unless gajin does something like with the dual racks on the 15T
maybe when ECM is added to the game the j15 could be strong if gaijin just rips stats out of their ass and makes the ECM on it super strong to make up for the low CM count

Where is this narrative that the Rafale is faster coming from? The Eurofighter and F-15E have always been the two fastest jets in the game in terms of acceleration and topspeed (ignoring Mig-25 for topspeed).
The Rafale isn’t faster when talking about pure top speed, it’s actually kinda slow because it has a low rip speed (shown in the graph).
But it accelerates faster after mach 1, even faster than the eurofighter IIRC. The rafale has very little post-mach drag and can easily reach its wing-ripping speed at just 101% afterburner if you fly clean.
At 10km altitude it might not win the drag race, the F15E breathes better up there, but that’s irrelevant.
So then give a scenario from mach 1 where the Rafale wins if it’s not at 10km altitude?
A high mach climb. At straight line you can’t use all the engine power or you rip wings, but you sure can do a shallow climb and be at 2000kph in no time with a full load of missiles
No one has posted any evidence that it has a better high mach climb than the Eurofighter or F-15E. I believe the Rafale’s high speed performance is overperforming but nothing indicates it beats something like the F-15E which is still the best of climbers and fastest accelerating jet in the game.
Here’s 7km alt.
The rafale also loses a fraction of its speed when defending or repositioning. Typhoon can easily bleed 0.1-0.2 mach just from turning 90 degrees. Rafale doesnt. In an actual match, the result is that there is a good chance the Rafale is actually at a higher energy state, even vs something like the Typhoon and Especially F-15 that have the higher top speeds
