Giving the ebrc the ebr treatment 💔
ebr and Strasbourg are the 2 things that piss me off the most in the french TT.
those 2 things have nothing to do outside of the grindable part of the TT
how is squadron vehicle considered locked? Sure it requires fixed amount of time to grind but it’s entirely free and time-unlimited
NOT saying EBRC Jaguar, and overall a light tank, is a good idea for a squadron vehicle
You need to join a squadron and be active, it can be a reason for not even starting to grind them in the first place.
What gaijin makes as event/squadron or premium also doesn’t make sense sometimes.
Something like a VBCI T-40 would make far more sense as it’s an actual prototype not built in numbers.
EBRC on the other hand is now being mass produced, and should make it to the TT as such.
AMX 30B2 from Operation Daguet.
Essentially it would be an AMX-30B2 like the one in the tech tree, but with more smoke canister launchers and a panoramic visor for the commander. It could also use the OFL 105 G2 or OFL 105 G3.
AMX 10 TTB 140. It would accomplish the same as the CV 90 does except French
France doesnt need another shitty IFV as a squadron vehicle, in a row especially
with all amount of decor I wish this was added in exchange of AMX 30Super
or as a potential new premium lol, fuck the copypaste Leo
you dont have to be active too much though, 20k in one day is easy, or 10k per weekend days, or 6.5k every day for 3 times, whatever is more suitable
The 140mm Leclerc would be pretty snazzy.
probably would end up as event vehicle one day
With that suggestion, I wanted to imply that the AMX 10 TTB 140 would replace the CV.
ah, put that way yeah it’s a better option. What’s the gun tho? the cone form makes me think it’s a 40mm
That’s because it is. Dart and all that. https://old-forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/399103-amx-10-ttb-140/
Stab?
Hahaha, no.
The French didn’t actually use a stabilizer until the Leclerc. Note that the AMX-30B Brenus, which dates back to the early 1990s, doesn’t have a stabilizer. And of course this one that was used in 1991, neither.
They had a different system on the brenus and modern variants no?
In principle, the Brenus is basically the AMX-30B from the Gulf War, but with the APS spotlight (the AMX-10RC in the Gulf War had it), and also with the Brenus ERA, which apart from CE protection, gives it 100mm protection against KE.
I really don’t know why the French did away with the vertical stabilizer until the arrival of the Leclerc. I don’t know if it was because they thought of them as defensive vehicles, or because they didn’t see a huge advantage in it, whereas it was a mechanical part that had to be maintained to work properly. Also keep in mind that in reality, stabilizers in general didn’t give that much of an advantage, since tanks still needed to stop to shoot accurately, since even with a stabilizer there were small movements in which your shot could go off where you were aiming.
Depends the tank, remember cheiftain was extemely accurate for an early stabilized MBT, but yeah possibly just because the range and use of laser range finders they felt it non necessary.
Also was the gunners right not stabilised?
Well, I don’t know, I think I read that,the AMX-30B commander sight was stabilized.
