Ok I’ve played the P-51A. It’s so good. Is it strange that I prefer the 300lb AN-M31 to the 500 pounders?

Well, the flight performance is drastically better with the 300’s vs the 500’s. But the 500’s have almost 2x the radius for destruction of armored vehicles. A win is a win though, only matters what you prefer/perform better using 👍
It’s not just the performance buff, but the 300s drop one after the other, but the 500s act like 500kg instead of pounds but drop both at once. I personally rather have two well placed drops :)

Ah, yeah that’s a huge difference. I really don’t like artificial “mechanics” like that where you can’t decide how many you want to drop at a time.

I do find it curious why they did that. Especially after they did that to the A-36’s 500lb and the Ju-88A-4’s SC500. From fav plane to avoiding like the bubonic plague lol

I still haven’t been able to claim the P-51A and I have noticed I have not claimed any of the other drops. I was definitely linked at some point as I got the bomb decoration, however I seem to not have claimed anything else. I relinked but have already pressed “claim” for the P-51A and all other things. Any advice?

So, first you can look at my previous post about unlinking/relinking (which you said you already did) and logging out of everything, log back in, and try the relinking process again: Watch the WTCS Grand Finals 2025, and Earn Amazing Twitch Drops! - #156 by SilentTracker
If none of that works, the next step would be to open a support ticket with Twitch. You “could” open a support ticket with Gaijin, but it’s a 50/50 chance that they will be able to help you with Twitch drops that are not working. I’ve read from multiple War Thunder players that the Gaijin support sometimes can help, but sometimes cannot help. You should absolutely attach a screenshot of your Twitch “Drops and rewards” page showing that you completed the required watch times. Try Twitch support first.

I honestly wish one of the Twitch drop awards was a historical skin for the P-51A (similar to the Spitfire F Mk.XIVe one last time). But can’t complain with a free (and actually decent at its BR) rare aircraft.
A little cool heads-up for the people wondering whether they should pick up the M24 (TL) Chaffee.
It gets a T45 APCR round for the 75mm at the same current BR as the regular tech tree M24 Chaffee.
(Might be useful for facing something like KV-1 heavy tanks in uptiers.)
