In War Thunder there is many nations, USA, Germany, Japan. But no United Kingdom. What we have in game is called “Great Britain” and to anyone who probably did Geography would know that Great Britain isn’t a country. It’s an Island. Why? Why not have the USA called “America”? Or “USSR” named to “That part of Asia and Europe”? Why isn’t Japan called “Japanese archipelago”? Or Taiwan called “The island of Taiwan”? I think it’s time that the UK comes to the game.
Should Gaijin rename “Great Britain” to: His Majesty’s United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland (or the UK for shot)?
Yes (God save the King)
No (I serve the Soviet Union)

It's even correct on the flag they have in game.
More reasons as to why it should renamed "UK of GB & IE
That’s not really considerate to all of the Scottish and Welsh people who are proud to be in the UK. Too bad all Ex-USSR countries hate the USSR. And Russia.
It still should be UK , from what I am seeing it is more about where and when the tech tree start. Not the present time , so USSR/UK still acceptable. I understand where you coming from but it is better as of now cause there are vehicle of other nation in their tech tree (like exported vehicle,…). It would be fine to rename them but I don’t think it is that important
Why? Its official name is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. Great Britain was predominantly used as shorthand until the 1960’s, when they instead started using the UK as shorthand. When people said GB they were referring to the kingdom not the landmass.
And that is true. But the USA Isn’t called America. The USSR isn’t called the Soviet Union. Germany… I guess German Reich isn’t on the cards so that’s why it’s just “Germany”. Why is the UK the only country to not have the proper name?
im also thinking its best to rename it to the commonwealth tree. apart from just the british, it now contains an entire south african branch, we can probably expect more indian vehicles, canadian, khalid for jordan. i wouldnt even be suprised of poland could end up in the commonwealth tree, since they already have polish vehicles here and there.
