thats gonna be a while, its slower than a Po-2 (99% of the time) and its about 3x larger, anyone with an MG or Cannon will shoot it down before it ever gets close
or do i try to get a kill in top tier? i still need to spade out my chally2/3s (which ive been putting off for understandable reasons)
As I’m not a tanker, I wont speak about tanks because they are not of my interest, so I just want to share my experience with both fighters.
If the looks of both of them are great, the performance it’s miles away from it should be.
We’re flying airplanes there are the best what both countries had to offer in 1918 and they fly like a airplane of 1915. An Eindecker ( the first fighter in history) would fly a bit better then those in a 80hp engine.
In 1916, a French Nieuport 11 in a 90hp Le Rhone 9C engine was already maneuvering tight and performing loops in the hands of french first ace Jean Navarre.
Both these airplanes that are in the event were the pinacle of ww1 aviation, the Fokker D.VII (wich should be D. VII F because of the BMW over charged engine used by Ernst Udet) and the SPAD XII (you guys missed the C.1 of Chase - fighter in french, flown by George Guynemer) would performance way better then what is given in the event.
P.S - that camo on Fokker wings (called the Lozenge Pattern) has the wrong colour.

The buffs to the garfield are a bit… stupid.
I have better mobility than the chamond when it comes to trenches. I literally towed my friendly chammond out of a ditch WHILE REVERSING.

the buff was needed. it physically could not move. Its just that the vehicle is absurdly powerful in certain spots and especially when facing triple entente as it will one shot everything

Are there any plans to fix fighter biplanes’ massive airspeed loss when rolling with the rudder? It’s getting severely annoying. This needs to be fixed asap alongside Zeppelin’s limited gunner aiming coverage before the event is over.

Mine was 9-1 because the entire German team went into Zeppys for some reason
Finished the fourth task. Got a 50% win rate on Germany and 20% on Entente. Still missing the Chamond and the Beutepanzer.
The SPAD is so broken it’s not even funny. I had one Fokker getting the jump on me while I was downing a Zeppelin. Damaged wing, leaking engine, and I still turned around and shot down the poor guy.
I might just GE the last tasks if the last couple days turn into weekend warrior Garfield spam fest. The event is already overstaying its welcome.
Just killed 4 A7 in a row from a flanking position. Garford is just the best. The nuker shell is great when flanking.
Also noticed the Chamond got once more a speed buff. From historical 12 km/h its now 22. Wow. Still meh, this yellow bus. Garford is better in every aspect, especially when you spawn the bomber afterwards.
now it is so hard for germans to grind since there literally everybody playing Germany and nobody playin Allied side…
IMHO, it is just too annoying that the Garford milk truck is the only meta pick on Entente force’s Arsenal. :/
While Garford-Brute doesn’t even need to take a flanking position, but hide like GRB SPG and just nail HE into frontal armor for an easy farm kill.
‘Thicker A7V’ and ‘Mark IV with better gun’ support German deck even stronger.
I really can’t understand why those russian milk truck from the eastern front is the best tank in game mode for WW1 western front.

It has everything. Best armor layout, great reload, super shell, speed, best color for that map. Also the map is just supporting flanking. Big map, just few players, you mostly slip through and there is no spawn protection. The spawn can be also camped from farther away, no barriers around it.
How do i switch to the other cannon view for the mark 4?
Assign ‘Select XXXX weapon’ key seperately.
Primary? Secondary? Both are separated but pushing either doesn’t show the camera for the left gun

L3 is the best tank, and it’s an anti-tank rifle on a car
Would be great if you re-run this event or a similar one with some more rewards. Maybe an air focused one for the release of Aces of Thunder with some aircraft as the rewards or maybe re-run it for Remembrance Day again with some more rewards. There’s plenty of aircraft and more tanks that can be added which would be cool to see in-game.

I often play Rise of Flight (obviously a sim, and not real life, but still), which has very well researched flight models.
Both fighters in the event fly exactly like the Fokker Eindecker III, even though both planes are much better.
In real life, the Fokker D.VII had a low stall speed, and didnt really spin when eventually stalling. It also had the ability to “hang on its propeller” for a short time, able to shoot a poor unsuspecting fella from below.
