AF events used to be fun. this isnt. period
The people expect a good event, not a redundant mode reminiscent of low tier. It is a single map, and infantry is basically just there, most of it being unkillable. So I understand your point. If you do not like it, do not play it. But I think since this is the big event every year and they’ve almost completely toned down all other events, they should make it a good one. What happened to the trailer dropped a day before? I would much prefer a playable infantry or otherwise a unique gamemode but this just isn’t unique or high-effort at all.

Almost like fun is a subjective topic- a concept probably too hard to grasp for those who speak in absolutes like they are the only holders of the universe’s truth.
In my opinion, the event is cool even in spite of its issues. Nothing outworldly, but neither so terrible.

try reading the thread and youll see im not the one out of touch. its terrible. Gaijins fault for making so many excellent AF events in the past and then rolling this rubbish out. They made it subjectively terrible compared to their oustanding past efforts.

How come the Zeppelin is not available for german event players like the H.P.12 is for British? It’s extremely balanced being slow and fragile whilst having good bombs.
Is there seriously no way us Zeppelin fans whom have been begging for them to come to the game oneday can get them on the accounts.
Even the suggestion (though in the wrong area) was gaining alot of traction in a short amount of time for addition as an event reward like the other vehicles.

Scoring a cheeky kill on low tier battles would be so cool as well, I want the skies to look more chaotic.
Immersion is out the window with this game, we have modern SPGs and IFVs fighting WW2 tanks, a zeppelin in 1.0 battles won’t hurt.

An April Fools event where you can actually get to KEEP the vehicles that you play in it? Hell yes!
Real shame that Germany doesn’t get a plane that you can keep in this event though. It would have been perfect if they had gotten either the Gotha G.IV or G.V as their counterpart to the H.P.12, and for the Triple Entente to in turn have received their own Zeppelin to use in the event.

The event has issues in split matchmaking (there should be 1 matchmaker that auto assigns people to sides for balanced queuing) and traction.
However, it’s pretty enjoyable for what it is.
My major wish is that I wish they added a simulator battles option. I wanna cut my teeth trying to fly a WW1 plane without any of the luxuries my beloved corsairs and spitfires and mustangs afford me against people dealing with similar challenges. I’d probably fail terribly, I need my ability to trim.

By the ned of the day we were able to read the Central powers by the book, I won three games in a row first place, and got close second place, the Triente is my favorite and the Char Saint Chamond is a beast!
Gaijin please reconsider the fighters. I would LOVE for them to be in the game and I don’t have a VR headset for that other mode. Their beautifully modeled, why take them out of the game if their already in?

Ok, this event has been the most fun I’ve had in a long time.
I’m loving the WW1 vehicles, only dislike two of them, being the Russian truck and the Zeppelin.
And despite me not playing some nations anymore, I’m 100% going to get everything. I do hope they add more WW1 vehicles/let us get what we couldn’t from this event at a later date.
