War Thunder: The Great War!

I’m the only one who tried capping but then again, you can’t cap anything with the Entente, you can just snipe and pray

Tanks can’t support themselves without infantry, I’m baffled nobody at Gaijin bothered to make the infantry aspect more important. Just making the amount of infantry available or alive to keep spawning would’ve made the event so much better.

They were too busy finding a model for a russian car that no one ever saw in action in Europe

But not for moving targets and at distances over 700m it’s much easier to aim aswell. The further away the better the higher muzzle velocity becomes.

That’s why you need to snipe with the chamond and dont drive to the points. That should be the task of the milktrucks.

The tactic of entete should be to snipe at points and kill advancing tanks and then push when after some minutes.

They are too busy sniping because their gun is the absolute best of the modr

One hugh disadvantage the chamond is that the camouflage is absolutly terrible visible but now with all the buffs there should be no complains. They should have buffed the mark 4 and 5 more. Both absolutly terrible tanks

In one of the last battles on Garford, I immediately took point C from the upper right respawn, then tanked several hits from the A7V, successfully repaired and destroyed a couple more enemies in area A with flanking fire right from there, from behind the house, where a small truck is completely invisible from the enemy side.

And before the event I had never played TRB, and literally a few battles in TAB. I even shoot by eye, without calculating the distance. This truck is too OP.

The WW1 theme and setting are pretty good, but the event needed to be worked on better, it feels raw and unbalanced. I think its developers would be upset to hear this, but I’m glad it’s over soon and I can get back to AAB and relax.

Yeah but they should capture the points. They are much harder to hit driving to the point than all other tanks + They have the second best survivability

I always have an eye in the sky aswell when playing the truck. If 2 or 3 planes are in the air capturing points is very easy. I think it is only 6 vs 6.

The best way i can think to balance the mode, and the entire game, is to bring back Hull Break. Only way to make it feel like a tank game again

I mean the truck should get overpressured really easy but somehow doesnt. It even tanks sometimes it’s own rounds with 700g + tnt

Milktruck would have passed the trench :) A Mark V which was designed for exactly this fails :)

Seriously: It took me 2 matches to identify the Mark as useless ingame. I never spawned it after testing this tank. I went with Chamond , Garford and A7. Air: the Entente bomber.

All other units are just Gimmicks. Like the Zeppelin, which is the most useless unit. Especially for 750 spawn points.

Nah, all other long tracked tanks have the same problem (FCM, TOG etc) I don’t know how tracks are modelled but only some parts of it give traction and it’s REALLY annoying

Same, the British mark is the worst since the german one has better guns. And that’s really sad for an inconic tank such as the Mark.
I was so hyped to drive it and even that is complicated … the star of WW1 is utter garbage …

Did they nerfed Garford’s gun? I cant one shot many tanks from the front anymore. Not even the little “windows” on the A7v

Everyone should drive the Garford. Easy to kill (if using HE shells each other) and most bearable to play.

Saint Chamond is trash…Its like a Christmas tree that says “shoot me” with its “desert” camo

Sounds like a good spot, not an op vehicle.

alright, how’s that ?

that’s my last game btw, and there was no camping spot as i kept running around

  1. They changed the mode, so I have no idea what it’s like now.
  2. Your on the German side which means everyone is focusing the A7V
  3. Again, on the German side, so you can more easily over pressure the French, Brit, and Russian vehicles.

Sounds like Germany needs a nerf

I think some of the flight model issues also come from mouse aim being terrible at properly turning and using the right rudder technique.

I still need to do more testing with them, but they do feel off.
