After two nights of playing both sides and completing the task ,Overall still mostly enjoying it.Germany much easier to play. Like the new mobility in terms of not getting stuck. I think the simplified "WarThunder Lite " thing has a certain appeal.
I know that war thunder wants to push us to try their newest game but i find it sad that we cannot keep such unique planes as the fighters and even the zeppelin.
I wish we could keep them and then have a war thunder aces event in rb+ (locked into the cockpit) similar to old Battle over Britain events.
I love the planes and the models but War Thunder Aces just isnt for me and im sad that i wont get to keep these cool planes in my hangar.

They had proper APHE rounds for most gun types.
First basically HE rounds where the nose fuze was replaced by a Heardened Steel AP head and internal fuze, later they had special shells where they put the AP head and internal fuze on.

Same for me. When I want cockpit view I just boot up RoF, IL-2 GB (FC) and WoFF

Is there a way to test fly airplanes and zeppelin? Don’t tell me gain spawn point because i really hate tanks and no intention to map controls for it
wait for aces of thunder lol. Or simply take a german a7v, unload almost all it’s ammo, and cruise to the nearest point, you’ll get all the point you need to spawn the zeppelin (if you can’t stand actually playing the game…)
Just played the Entente for today’s star and won with over 5000 mission points. ^^
But what was more interesting about the match was that the spawn directions were switched. The Entente spawned in the north and Germany in the south.
Perhaps this is a little balance fix?
I was really disappointed in the infantry aspect of the event, their presence is purely aesthetic.

I meant having a more meaningful impact, it feels like most of the time they do nothing but stand around and not push objectives. The event is just team death match when it could’ve been something else more special, an Operations style game mode from BF1 would’ve been so much better.

Overall I like this event. It is not as grindy as most events.
Today it took me three matches to unlock both stars and I really like this variant of the Flanders map.

Turns out swappping sides did absolutely nothing and actually made it worse for Entente becuase the A7V can still lob behind cover while the Chamond with the velocity buff has to expose itself

Hope this event can finally get Gaijin to address the traction, having tanks designed to cross trenches be unable to cross trenches is the most absurd thing, peak example of how poorly designed this game is.

the entire physics is broken
Am I alone having mostly bad weather in this event? Most battles are with overcast sky, so the visibility is worse than it could be. Sometimes I even get night battles, although I have this option disabled. I see content creators on YouTube posting Great War battles with bright weather, I cannot remember the last time I had a battle like this.
I think people realize how bad the WW1 mode is compare that you get shot beyond distance not to mention a pen is not fatal to get the op team killed.
