Ok Stona will fire everyone at dev because of this.
I always wondered why do people have to research things on the dev server, like it’s literally built for testing purposes so people can play new things as soon as possible and report bugs.
I understand adding a better AA system and all that but they should have a range limit. I haven’t been able to test it properly but in ARB I got hit from 10km away from an airfield all while trying to defend against said missile by holding it in a notch and dropping chaff. Can only imagine it is worse in Sim now with the change.
It just seems that every time they change airfield AA they can’t strike a balance with it. It’s either completely useless or completely broken.
Being able to get rid of the Nazi and Communist flags. No longer I have to bear the flags of two evil regimes :)
LDIRCM was not addressed in the slightest and was ignored completely by the devs, the implementation of it needs to be reworked ASAP.
But that’s the thing, there’s so many other spaa vehicles to chose from! Why that??
Hell, I’d take an Adats over fighting an Ito90m they actually added a top tier spaa, just to make the players suffer.
It is in the main post:
Yes, but visual guides are much more effective than words. Our community which has 234 members, just after this screenshot saw that there is a option to turn it off. So that’s explains a lot.
Iris-T doesn’t seem to work anymore. Barely any kills vs. passing jets and Helis are still immune (dircm).
We need updates focused on gameplay quality, research, economy ,etc. There are problems which have been there for YEARS and yet Gaijin doesnt solve, they just release new vehicles.
ADATS would be worse given that you don’t get a launch warning on your RWR when one fires at you. Other than a track warning you would have no idea a missile is headed your way unless you could actually see it.
Maybe something like the OSA or 2S6 would be better. Again with a cap on range at about 7km.
OSA has too much range.
2s6 would be ideally balanced, if it’s not in the upgraded stage.
That would still mean to be “safe” you’d have to be 8100 meters up minimum.
ADATS in the test drive is crazy OP, people don’t realize that AI SACLOS missiles can’t be notched, chaffed or flared since the AI will perfectly lead the missile unlike a player. Add to the fact that you wouldn’t even get a RWR since it’s beam guided and it’s completely traceless, so in SIM EC it would be completely invisible…
Should i start talking about Naval mode? Didint get any change till 2017? If im correct? Same bad designs map, Boooring mechanics, and just a useless waste of development time.
So 2s6 is the only good option. That’s what I’m hearing.
Idky the devs skipped step 1-2 and went straight to step 4.
Clearly none of them play sim, or even tested this in sim.
Honestly it’s never made sense to me why the SPAA in the test flights is the ADATS. Since I would ideally like to test my RWR I would like a SPAA that gives RWR warnings.
OSA would be quite good, because it has the extra range and more energy retention at distance but it is extremely slow giving you more time to react, 2S6 is like 870 m/s? Something like that.
Is the sound of the AH-56’s engine and rotors not working for anyone else? Got in to test fly and it makes no noise.
But 2s6 is 32g overload, and 4.97 mile during distance.
OSA is over 7 miles, with 23.4 g overload or something.
The problem is range.
Osa has 10 km range, but the motor loses all energy past 6 to 7 km.
This arbitrary non sourced change made it from one of the best to the worst Top Tier AA
