We want new game modes, bug fixes, electronic warfare, improvements to radar, fix spotting, a reduction in grind time, etc .

Well I do not see that in the changelog & I do not see in the gaijin bug reporting forums, of course its possible I missed these however, until I am shown this change in the changelog and this error in the gaijin issues reporting forum, then I will continue to see this as nothing more than a simple bug in need of fixing.

You don’t need to have public bug reports or change log mention for it to be added into the game.
It’s a pretty simple fix that required changing a line of code.

Not a bug, and this “fix” wasn’t announced. Anything that changes ingame should be announced like everything else is.
Were Chinese spall liners announced ?
The point of a changelog is so that users know what changes & fixes have been made deliberately to a piece of software, the absence of a change from the changelog indicates that the change is in fact a bug.

They simply don’t need to announce the line of text that has been changed. That also isn’t influencing your gameplay in any way.

I disagree, by not mentioning a deliberate change then they leave open the possibility that it was indeed a bug and so making a report about it would waste the time of the report moderators. And just because a bug does not impact gameplay directly does not mean there is no reason for it to be fixed.
