warheads in general were kinda nerfed this update, and since its Heat not Tandem/Heat the if you hit ERA your prob not gonna do any damage
Gaijin i am really disappointed in this update, it doesn’t even feel like a major update due to the lack of content it is indeed very saddening. i believe you could have done more like adding a lot more really cool vehicles and a new game mode and or improving on existing ones.
Gaijin i just hope you listen to us and make the game great again.
I understand what you say, but think both things that were not officially in service and things that actually were can have a place in the game at the same time, without really conflicting.
I do think however that in the case where vehicles/weapons were in active service, they should be represented as realistically as possible within the scope of the game.
Tricky one of course with specifically the Swiss Hornets: When they were introduced, they got AIM-120B’s (which would push them beyond BR 13), but with AIM-9P-5’s and older avionics that would push the other direction BR-wise. So I can more or less accept the workaround to give it similar armament as comparable Early Hornets in the game - but then would also expect that in all fairness they would consistently get everything the others get, as well!
Something else are cases like (modernized) Mirage IIIS C.70 and (modernized) Swiss F-5E which got obsolete armament that was never used on those aircraft: It could easily have been prevented by either adding the non-modernized variants with the current armament, or the modernized variants and their reslistic modernized armament. Or of course both variants!
Right now they at least corrected the wrong radar of the Swiss Tiger II - hopefully they eventually get consistent enough to also adjust it’s armament accordingly…
I went to throw them top-down and all i got was “Yes, a hit!”
who knows maybe it gets buffed, considering the update is pretty much dev server the update cause nothing seems finished.
I looked it up and my God…the T-90M Arena weights 51t, the same as the baseline T-90M despite the addition of the APS
The M1A2 Trophy weights (stock) 66.5t, which is 2.2t heavier than the standard SEPv2 (also stock).
I seriously cannot believe that they didn’t even thought of adding weight to the T-90M Arena, the Russians created the first ever weightless object in the universe.
In another life,i want to work at Gaijin because you can work how you want, refuse to double check anything you add into the game and you will still get a paycheck at the start of every month.
If i work like they work at Gaijin,i would be fired the next day without thinking twice.
Seems like all spall liners now create some damage
I understand that this is a game. It has an arcade mode, realistic mode and a sim mode. Fine for me. If we talk about sim mode, it should be half way realistic.
If you are in a age supposed to be serving in the Ukrainian forces, then you shall get enlisted ASAP. For me having served in the Swiss Air Force, deserting is not an option. I stand tall for my country.
Before anyone says that my system is trash Ik what my system is capable off, pulling 170 fps constantly, but with this update whenever I zoom on the man while being in a CAS the fps drops to about 60-80, which is literally so annoying because after I zoom out it magically restores to 180-190 and this didn’t take place in the other version, only after I installed this update
so what exactly does the ALARM have over the KH25MPU and AGM-88A?
its loft causes it to take more then DOUBLE the time to even hit the target and that is the supposed strength
I have to say, that I am dissapointed by this Update and that Gaijin has once again shown where their prioritys lie.
As a german main there are a few things I’d like to adress.
First of all: I don’t understand why the Eurofighters actually got ARMs. It cannot carry them, the only version that will be able to carry them is the Eurofighter EK and it will carry the AGM 88G ER, not the C. Secondly the only German fighter, that can carry ARMs is the Tornado ECR, not the IDS. I believe thats the same for the italians and british, bc you need to have the ESM sensory integrated into the plane to triangulate the enemy radarpositions. These systems take up much space in the plane thus eliminating the guns. But I can understand that adding the ECRs would be a lot more complicated, than just giving the weapons to the IDS. What I dont understand is why Gaijin decided to give the german fighters versions that germany never had. the IDS WTD61 and MFG should recieve the AGM 88B, the ASSTA1 should get the AGM 88 Block IIIB (AGM 88D) and the IDS SLE should get the AGM 88E, as these were the corresponding ARM versions of the Tornados for their respective eras. I believe to have read somewhere that game-balance was the reason not to give any ARMs to the lower Tornados, yet the Su22 M4 got them at a lower BR than the IDS ASSTA1. The WTD61 and MFG only have dumb bombs at a BR of 10.0 with a subpar flightmodel compared with the F4F, that gets guided weapons at 10.3. This was the best chance ever to give the Tornado a place inside the game and I am not surprised that Gaijin blew it.
Adding these historical errors into the arguments Gaijin is constantly using to deny changes for vehicles, most recently the F14D discussion wether the D should get AMRAMs or not, just proves the hypocracy and their selective realism they have been running for quiet some time now.
I had hopes for this Update, but nothing changed. The big Issues still persist, the BR decompression needed for ARB is not comming, the imbalance of top tier SPAA and CAS is still there, with CAS being buffed all around, at least the Man in the Loop for helicopters didnt get to live servers, but this Update lacks in every regard exept “new shiney stuff to grind”. And even those are underwhelming.
Personally I have given up on the so called “historic accuracy” and “realism” of the game. If I can ask for a change in the Future, it is Honesty and Equality from Gaijin. Honesty in the decisions and reasoning, as well as equality regarding the rules of what systems can be added for vehicles. Is it:
- what is/was actually carried and deployed by said vehicle.
- what was developed/planned/available, regardless of actual usage.
Well, thank you if you actually read all of this and don’t hesitate to correct me if I made some mistakes. Have fun grinding and loosing your mind over it, see you in Pilotage

Tornado GR1 with ALARM
Tornado F3 with ALARM
Tornado GR4

Thx for correcting me on the British Tornados, nice pictures btw!
yeah the UK never really had a specific sead variant the closest thing is the Tornado F3 was nicknamed the Tornado EF3 but as far as im aware there wasnt any difference between the basic F3 and EF3
And along comes Germany with 1 for groundstrike only, 1 for SEAD only and 1 for Recce only. At least now the ECR combines the Recce and SEAD, but the Groundstrike is still IDS only.
funny sidenote, the current Tornado has a better and more modern cockpit than the Eurofighter, bc at the time of the last ASSTA upgrade the better equipment was the only thing available.
Im surprised they didnt give german prem tornado new toys. Cmon, give it some arms, nobody is buying it with just few dumb bombs.
Yup, and the MFG actually has an ECR camo, so it would be pretty fitting, but well, its gaijin and germany, so I dont expect much in the first place.

The entire salvo of LMUR just passed by the base, a large, stationary target. Feel shame for your algorithm designer.
Superbly dissapointing update now that it’s here.
It is another egregious step of the encroachment of cold war vehicles into and general abandonment of ww2 gameplay. Only 3 ground vehicles were added below rank VI of which two are cold war era - an italian SPH like we don’t have enough time travelling SPHs, and a Chinese autocannon SPAA which will see late ww2 tanks and I’m sure will be annoying. For air, another Albatros is added this time for Japan which will see plenty of ww2 stuff (cold war jets shouldn’t CAS against ww2 tanks!!!)… and the Pucara is a mistake that is going to be so annoying. I can only find two ww2 aircraft added - the Welkin and Fw189C (premium though). Washington B1 kind of counts too I guess even if we brits didn’t get them until 1950… so two and a half ww2 types.
