thats a shame, i would have prefered to not have it in certain circumstances like when youre damaged.
I do however hope they fixed the issue of other planes exploding when driving over the cables.

i realized after looking more that what you’re shooting through is the turret ring and not the optic.

Before they would just eat the ground on low altitude launches, now you can launch them from the tree line whithout much of an issue

This isn’t always the case, for most cases there is a popup and you can send it through there. Sometimes however it doesn’t give you that option but crashes “harder” so to speak. There are instructions in the reporting guide for such cases.

That’s not what volumetric means. The amount of armor pieces doesn’t effect weather the armor is volumetric or not. It’s just the difference between being a 2D sheet at the inner most connecting point of the visual armor piece or if the entire volume, i.e. 3D, is counted as the armor having been hit.

By the definition you provided, all armor in War Thunder is “volumetric” and Matty’s post is even more “pointless”, but he’s not talking about what you are addressing, which means neither am I.
