I play on steam and i have PC game pass. How do i collect the bonus?

Your steam Gaijin acc should be linked to an email and password, just download the WT client thru the Microsoft store and log in

I mean, hes not wrong.
For 12€ a month (Gamepass PC) u get every 21 Days smt worth maybe 0,1€ to people. Not really incentive to buy an GamePass just for that, which is the goal of the deal for MS.
And on top of that, Gaijin dont really explain who can do it and how to do it.
Can i use my PC WT account to play with it on Xbox now? What about the Marketplace if i connect them?
Do i need to Download the game with the MS store, does the MS Client have differences like the Steam one does to the Gaijin Client?
Is it to much to ask for a overview how what now works? Feels like year 2000 where u could be lucky to find you answers in a forum or by buying a magazine.

You can’t use existing War Thunder accounts created via launcher or Steam for this.

You can’t connect existing PC account. For Xbox accounts, it doesn’t provide marketplace access.
For playing on PC with your existing Xbox account - no, you don’t have to, you had this ability in War Thunder PC launcher for many years anyway.
The difference is that MS PC client has all in-game purchases linked to Microsoft Store instead of Gaijin Store/Steam. So you no longer have to dust off your console and launch War Thunder on it just in order to activate your pack purchase, which is something many players struggled with when playing in our PC launcher with console account.

Are the prics on MS Store the same as on gaijin store or is it like on the steam client an increased price and whats about sales?
Also i am confused now, u say u cant connect PC WT acc with MS? So how ure supposed to get the benefit from Game Pass PC that is mentionen by stona?

Game pass xbox
Game pass pc
Game pass ultimate
So this only works with connecting your xbox wt acc with wt and it will check if u have am game pass sub? Or how do i habe to understand it?

I assure you, many people have both consoles and computers and pay for Game Pass Ultimate which grants both the console and PC memberships.
I am just annoyed that what appeared was announced as a major development written as though there was finally a way to link XBox and PC profiles (allowing me to get the XM-1 Chrysler on my account) is really just a slightly more convenient way to activate XBox pack purchases when made off a computer instead of the console itself.
This seems more like something which could have been buried in the patch notes instead of getting a dedicated article.

It’s literally the same store that Xbox version is using. So prices and sales are the same.
By using Microsoft account with active PC (or Ultimate) Game Pass and downloading PC version of War Thunder from MS Store. It can be a newly created account, or the one you already used for playing on Xbox. The benefits are also granted in the Xbox version if you have active Ultimate subscription.

But whats the reasoning behind locking it?
If i would have an Xbox Acc i could play with that now on PC and Xbox and get a benefit of GamePass.
If i have an PC account i can ONLY play on PC and get nothing from my GamePass Sub.

Because having Microsoft PC account is not the same as registering it at Gaijin.net, these are 2 unrelated and unconnected ecosystems. You can’t play War Thunder with your pre-existing Gaijin account on Xbox, and it’s the same for PC version in MS Store.

But again, what is your blocking point in allowing PC players to user their PC WT account on Xbox and PC GamePass on PC? If Xbox can use Xbox Ecosystem on their PC, why cant i use my PC Ecosystem on Xbox? I dont see any Hardware or Software limitations here. Just Gaijin not wanting it.
Just makes no sense to me, as the majoratie of player, the PC players, will get nothing out of having a Xbox Game Pass now.

So, people who made their accounts ages ago through Steam or the original launcher can’t get the bonuses, even though they’ve been subscribed to Game Pass. That’s just great.
thank you, xbox native player on pc, question. using WT through MS store launcher i can purchase packs nice. but they are still not test drivable, Why? Do we have any idea when account transfer is coming back?
I really wish you guys created something more broad with account. That means that 1 account for any platform. This is ridiculous. I have 12 years of grind on my PC account and I am not able to use it on xbox as this has different account. Why not to do migration of all account into one that would be shared for all platforms?

Yes. You can also purchase it in MS Store PC client directly, it uses the same store as Xbox like I explained.
