War Thunder Anti-Cheat System Update

Ay I once encountered a hacker on Mariokart 7 online XD

never said you did I just point out logick that cant be argued

steam does multi-game bans, a ban* on one will lead to a ban* on others

also what does hiding your steam library have to do with anything? i hide mine but the only punishments i’ve received is a warning for necroposting (didn’t realise it was from 2 days and 2 years ago as opposed to 2 days)

*edit: ban, not cheat. steam doesn’t cheat for you lmao

It means they can’t be audited by players.
Can’t see their Destiny stats [which apparently is 0.1 hours according to one of the people in that topic], and can’t see if they have ever played any other BattlEye game, such as Arma 3.

Arma 3 devs are the BattlEye devs, so if your story was ever close to true, then Arma 3 would’ve been the bed but it never has.
No cheater epidemic, no confirmed false bans.

“Just check my PC bro.”

There are a lot of cheaters that are going to be mad that their EAC cheats won’t be working now due to Battleye, and that puts a smile on my face.

What

First of all it’s Logic

Second of all if someone were to cheat on COD there’s just as many, if not more reasons they wouldn’t cheat in war thunder.

Also COD uses Ricochet Anti-Cheat so I’m not sure why you brought it up.

Battleye has full Linux support.

aren’t a lot of cheats multi-engine/AC? the days of script injections are long over, especially in multiplayer server hosted games

I mean I “cheat” in MC with hacked clients on anarchy servers, but that doesnt mean that i’ll cheat in WT lmao

That’s why Battleye’s so effective, it runs server side as well and does server checks.
Which for WT which has so many server checks on player movement and weapons, means that it’ll be rather effective on detecting stuff.

Cry more, dont cheat or mod and you have nothing to worry about… If you cheat in any online video game you will cheat in all of them, end of discussion. Also thanks for grammar check I really dont care I write however I want.

You can try to twist my words all you want but all of us knows what Im saying and we all agree, but I get it you wanna stand out out of crowd, by writting something funny.

maybe i’ve misunderstood something as i’ve only recently started playing on the PC client, but i though warthunder supported some mods? user-skins and crew sound packs? is that no longer the case?

That’s not how it works?

According to your logic we should put people in jail for life for punching one person when they were 5 because they will punch everyone now.

“Effectively” lol.
Looking forward to endless crashes and unwarranted bans. I really wish companies would stop using this over-hyped trash. EAC and BattleEye are only a way for devs to avoid doing the work of fighting cheaters on their own. It’d be nice if devs would take responsibility and deal with their own cheaters instead of shoving it off on these services and saying “but we’re dealing with it”.

EAC and BattleEye are only good for stopping 12 year olds who download out-of-date cheats on their parents pc and for ruining the experience of legitimate players at random and completely arbitrary times.

As zero people have crashed from Battleye.
As zero people have obtained unwarranted bans.

If Arma 3 didn’t exist to audit your obviously false claims, they could be more believable, but Arma 3 does exist and disproves your false claims.
Battleye is really strong.

I certainly hope you’re talking about server crashes, because i’m not. And if you’re implying that BattleEye and EAC haven’t caused client issues, there may be some delusion involved here. I’ve seen EAC and BattleEye crash out for both myself and others as well and implying that nobody has crashed because of these services is frankly quite funny.

Oh and let’s not forget that when these services have server or connectivity issues, that passes on to games that they support. It’s one more cog in a machine full of cogs missing half their teeth. But hey, if you want to keep believing that BattleEye is flawless, I wouldn’t recommend doing any research on it.

That’s just not true lol. I openly admit to cheating in Dark Souls, reverse engineering is a hobby of mine. Does that mean I cheat in War Thunder? No, because the game environment is completely different.

You tell me not to be childish but you’re being actively belligerent to criticisms of your opinion. Stop being hypocritical. Stopping cheaters is a good thing, but honestly this isn’t a great way to go about it.

Fighting cheaters is an uphill battle and unfortunately the only time these services do any work is after the cheats have already done most of their damage. Years of experience have shown that these services are not an effective way of fighting cheating while also being considerate of your player base. But of course it’s cheaper to pay for a service and forget about it than to hire staff and work out an effective strategy to deal with it.
