Hey guys, after accepting the EULA agreement roughly 3 weeks ago and checking that BE service was running correctly I got a popup again saying this:

LMAO this anticheat is a disaster.
My last game in december was a lobby full of friendly and enemy cheaters (rank II game).
I stopped playing for a month. Picked up WT today. Just finished a 6.7 game. There was a lvl53 player with 15 kills in RB dropping bombs with F8F from 2km with laser precision as well as sniping people with 20mm stealth belts from 1-2km away and finding hidden enemies. I have seen alot, but never seen players with arcade lead indicators in RB.
WT is dead to me.

Yeah. He was 100% cheating. The bigger giveaway to me was how his crosshair was automatically adjusting for distance and lead.
When watching it from his pov, you could also see how often his crosshair was moving away from where his actual mouse was pointing.
Same. Only really come across bots which were a huge thing for a bit.

Anyway, if you are curious, it’s my last game and the player in question is the one being first on enemy team. I have not played WT since.
So far, in ground RB it is proven to be completely useless.
Same cheater that i encountered 2 weeks ago while under EAC, is still playing (cheating) happily under BattleEye in Ground RB.
Nor he is banned, despite having been reported by 5 different people in a span of a day/week.
On the other hand, many other cheaters are being swiftly banned;

Utter rubbish the anit cheat gets by passed by “hack” site soon as new patch is done …so theres always cheaters …its just how much do Gaijin want to spend on stopping cheaters…They wont as they spend lots of money

I don’t know whether it’s better or worse, but I would say cheating has been rampant for some time indeed.
At least there are regular cheater cleanups, though!
Even then, my biggest concern is still unmoderated false positives, and this anti-cheat detecting a basic head tracking software (OpenTrack) as a malicious program it needs to block is a big red flag to me.
I hope it helps but the previous system seems unable to screen for people who see RB games like AB games. Am I correct in that we still don’t have dedicated code for RB?

if yes, this will double or triple the maintenance for coding, meaning more manpower which costs money which raises the prices for us all…
and no the argument about RB is better or RB has more users doesn’t count
why? because GJ wants to attract players, keep players, so different coding makes everything more worse for everyone as programmers making entry points in code for the specific modes
but I know you will cry out loud for you dedicated code for your beloved praised RB and that you don’T care about other modes and other players
A long time ago there was an Admin thread on the old forum asking player’s opinions on if the RB mode should be kept or not. The admission from Admin was that there was no way to keep the illegal mods out and that RB (unlike the other mode) was uniquely susceptible. The problem of course it that RB is the ugly step child of AB and the information delivered to your client is AB. RB is the most popular game mode and thus creates the most revenue so it would make sense to have code that is better at preserving the integrity of the game. No crying… ; )

from my point of view as coder for several commerical programs
it makes programming worse and worser when you branch our code in several subbranches with similar features like steering, shooting, movements etc
we do not know how the actual dividing in AB RB and SIM works, so we can only speculate and from what we experience in the game, the base seems to be same for all modes
more branches and subbranches to maintain costs time, binds coders, costs money, produces errors
regarding the division in AB, RB & AIM into different coding with the same/similar UI, can you name another game for meto try out?
regarding “cheating” and using “exploits” name please a game that does not suffer from this?
it’s always who is faster to find the “Bug”/“exploit”/Backdoor to use or close it, that’s was it has always been

I realize this quote is from an older post, but is Gaijin going to be offering refunds to people like this who can no longer play the game because of a choice Gaijin made?
Battleye is also notorious for false positives, especially when using software that is necessary to use things like flight sticks and some mouses. Is there an actual appeals process for bans, something hopefully better than the mod support here or the support ticket system Gaijin has?
