What do you mean with seeker windows?
All I can tell you rn is that there are some rare mentions of upgraded seekers for the 27T/ET

Guessing they just mean the type of glass used. Lot of missiles use special IR glasses, like germanium based ones
From what I know it’s more likely spinel cause germanium ceramics is not mass produced until much later.
Fair enough, Germanium was just an example. Its used a lot on modern thermal optic windows as well.
R27EA in Su30?
those are inert/training missiles, r-27ea never existed, and r-27a only tested on mig 29 before it got cancelled.
A quick search shows this to be a picture of a frankenstein’s Su-35UB for the movie “Mirror Wars: Reflection One”.
There are many things wrong with the picture, like training and live missiles combined? Unpainted fins on one of the centerline R-27’s? And yes, they do look like the EA seekers.

whats the longest range kill you guys have managed with the R-27ET in game?
15km side aspect on f15
12 km rear aspect on a harrier
managed to get a side aspect lock from 17.5km out and kill from 16.5km out today, stat card in game states 18km rear aspect but is it like all the other stat cards in game that just completely lies?
or has anyone performed any tests on this
r-27et can lock rear aspect from more than 30km. remember it depends on plane it’s locking for lock ranges. hotter plane = more range
25~ ish kilometers at high altitude against a side aspect target. It was an F-15C iirc.
It depends on your target. you can also see here that it can lock from nearly 20km away even against nose hot targets.
edit: correction, I remembered wrong my first shot was an ER, ET was fired at 15km.
R-27 rated for 8 g maneuvering target and pulls 35 g
R-27t should be able to differentiate between flare and plane like 9m if I’m understanding this right, shall put up a bug report on this and see what devs think
even R-37M is rated for 8G maneuvering targets iirc.
i think gaijin calculates max g pull as Target G overload*max mach number
r24 being rated for 7g pulls 24 g, by the formula, it should be 73.5 = 24.5, surprisingly close
r27 rated for 8g, pulls 34g, by the formula, it should be 84.5 = 36, still very close (however r27er, which is faster doesnt enjoy this)
the only missile afaik which is a bit far from this value is r77, which should pull 12*4.5 =54g
Where is this from?
