Even if its a simplified version it shouldn’t have worse protection than a BMP. LFP is easily penned by 12.7 HMG.

I can’t imagine a 33T car not being able to protect .50 HGM The 30T Type 90 wheeled tank can protect against 2A42 fire, while the 33T VT5 cannot protect against .50
