It’s not expected to be poorly protected - for a 33-ton vehicle.
Don’t expect it to be able to withstand the main gun of any other tank. But the spall liner may hold some surprises.

I still believe they should be released at the same time, other than an IFV China has no competitive Light Tank at top tier

Yep. Since Gaijin staff refuses to acknowledge the ZTL11 bugs, we can only rely on ZBD04A and the incoming VT-5

and whilst the ZBD04A is amazing, it’s no BMD-4/4M. The ZTL11 is awful given it’s lack of reverse and size, so a tech tree ZTQ15/VT5 should been added :( but sadly, I don’t think this is coming in this patch :((

I believe it will appear in the game soon, because the VT5 in the game is its downgraded version, and the additional ERA variant found through data mining is likely its ERA-equipped version. It will probably be released in an upcoming version.
