the Vought OS2U kingfisher was designed as a versatile aircraft as such it was able to be equipped with a tail tragger landing gear for land based airfields, now im wondering if it should be added as a modification or as a secondary armament (middle slot) that allowing to change the floats at will in a match according to the map one is playing on

While i agree it should be added id rather it be its own separate aircraft rather than a modification

Exactly, it was technically a separate variant of the kingfisher
I do when dorking around with my son.
It would give it to much of an advantage at its current BR. Like when you knock the floats off the floatie Zero and get a 3.7 plane at 2.3 without the risk/skill of having to do it.
I think that it should be something that you can take off since the kingfisher had a plugin system to quickly convert the plane from a seaplane to a land based plane. Something to emphasize this design choice. Cab’t find any info in how the conversion is done or anything about.
I also found this picture of a kingfisher with wheels mounted on the floats

Those wheels seem to be just a cradle to move the plane, hard to tell
they do seem pretty weak to handle a landing
No, the OS2U you have pictures of is a complete modification of the plane, the actual OS2U is a dedicated hydroplane and was never meant to mount wheels (except small ones that were only used to move the plane around on land/ on the ship for maintenance reasons, though it should gets those by default even if its unrealistic)
