impressive that you can find all this, hopefully this will close the gap between the AD-4 and A-1H, which sits behind an absurd paywall now, its really a shame they put such an iconic vietnam war aircraft in a warbond. I hope we atleast get the A-1E or A-1J one day

Those will be included in what I have been preparing don’t worry. I currently have material for XBT2D-1 Dauntless II, AD-1, AD-4N (A-1D), AD-5 (A-1E), AD-5N (A-1G), AD-7 (A-1J).

yeah, but still doesnt mean we’ll ever get them, unfortunately theres no guarantee we’ll ever get another vietnam skyraider.
I’m hoping it’ll be enough information to be irresistible to at least entertain the idea

atleast they should listen to the bug reports about missing ordance, and besides, a new skyraider would make a great 6.3 premium aircraft.

I’m hoping to provide enough primary sources so there will never need to be another bug report. Half the reason I decided to make this was because they made an ahistorical change to the amount of 20mm ammo putting it at 796 instead of 800 like LITERALLY EVERY MANUAL says and they cited the manual as a reference and I looked at the exact manual they cited and found 800 rounds in every place the gun’s ammo was mentioned

Partially, I was already compiling research for myself…it just gave me a little bit of fuel to look into all the inaccuracies and the more I looked the more of a flaming dumpster fire I uncovered 😂. Then I realized if anyone was gonna do it right, I was the person to do it.
hopefully it can get a model update so they give it a new texture, the current TT skyraiders have god awful normal skins, straight out of 2017
Yeah, I remember when they were added, they added the French one before the American ones. I’ve been playing since January of 2014 (old account died cause old PC died).

Still waiting. Unfortunately these things take lots of time as there’s lots of paperwork and bureaucracy involved in getting stuff declassified. I’ll update everyone when I do hear back. I’ll be giving an office a call back if I don’t hear back by the 10th of July and see what they have to say.
Another big hang up is getting someone at Boeing to help with the research on a few specific parts (since they absorbed McDonnell Douglas and by extension Douglas who built h the Skyraider) that I am having trouble finding information on. I’ve looked everywhere and don’t have access to certain databases for search so I’m going to need a few strings pulled to get that information and everything properly implemented.
Forgot this, so update VNAF A-1H was accepted as a suggestion
