Source for that roundel? Cause I have seen zero aircraft carry that even prior to the Vietnam war, nor can i find any images of it.

yah there are not a lot of images as well concerning it if mode companies are to go off of (it not good enough) these emblems where placed on old French aircraft gifted to the South. When USA came it was changed to the one we know.
Cant really figure out why they changed I’m not Vietnamese but it seemed to have something to do with when the USA started to provide advisors. But making the emblems look like USA likely just made the South Vietnam army look like a American puppet. But hay a rare decal is a decal and people love using any shape and color of emblem in unique ways in game so here here!

Likely to make it more recognizable as a plain circle with some thin stripes can be kinda hard to distinguish from a distance

From looking at a lot of South Vietnam aircraft images there are also a lot of Squadron emblems as well so a good amount of Decals could be added. With Gaijin remembering that Decals exists some of these would be awesome to see.
Makes sense though USA emblems / markings are scientifically proven to do what they do. They where not picked because they look cool some are not that interesting but they where tested.

i dont think like adding VNAF skins anyway, think the F-5A is the only thing that has it

They got one thing Korea has non of that is going to need is COIN aircraft but placing all vehicles Vietnam had would provide that to the theoretical tree. COIN planes will be a must for the future with infantry. Vietnam also has some good ground vehicles / small arms (infantry).
Vietnam would have so many unique skins on captured vehicles. Soviet paint on American stuff is so strange and unique people would love the skins.

In such a tree you would also get North Vietnam equipment / post war unified Vietnam equipment so it would have some stuff to offer in the aircraft department. There is also talk of Vietnams F-5s being fixed up and upgraded so if that’s pans out we would get a good little fighter.
They also seem to have had interactions in getting equipment upgraded with help of other nations so a few different versions could be added of the classic T-55. Funny enough South Korea is selling Vietnam K9 Thunder.
We are going to see K9 Thunder fighting K9 Thunder one day.
