The Russian Federation is the continuer state of the USSR, hence why Russia inherited the Soviet’s Founders seat in the UN. Its internationally recognised as the successor to the USSR.

just to ragebait, this is technically the CIS. But yea russia is the succesor of RFSR which was the republic within the soviet union. Russia always existed in the USSR, but the USSR was more of a empire with constituent states

The stuff made in Ukraine during the USSR is already in the Soviet tree, after the USSR dissolved Ukraine made their own stuff (even if it was derived from Soviet MBTs). Adding Modern Ukrainian vehicles to what is functionally the USSR + Russian tree is not a good idea.
