Yes, my skill liners cometh

(they probably aren’t even modeled in game rn)

After looking at the dev stream, it appears unsurprisingly that the VBCI has 0 of it’s spall liners modeled.

Doesn’t the VBCI use M919A2? Devserver only has PMB 090.

average gaijin moment lol, what can we say though, at least we’re getting something

Holy moly how they massacred this vehicle.

The machinegun doesn’t elevate with the MG, and the CITV is completely unusable.

Along with that, the spall liners are still completely absent.

Still another big crime is that the IRCM is modeled but doesn’t work.

Yeah it needs some serious TLC, as mentioned:

  • Lack of Spall Liners
  • Non-functional APS/IRCM
  • MG not Elevating
  • CITV non-functional

It’s a pretty advanced IFV with all its advanced parts broken lol.

I bet the APS will be rough and will function the same as that on the BRENUS. If I’m not mistaken, the version on the VBCI is the EIREL NG. If not, it just working period would be nice.

One more, the document above says the gun depression of dragar is -11 to 48 degrees. If no proof that there’s extra limitation applied to vbci specifically, then it may go to the better -11.

As of right now the CITV and MG are now completely functional.

That still leaves us with:

  • The armor majorly underperforming (side armor able to be preforated by 12.7mm AP in it’s strongest area when it is said to be able to withstand 14.7mm AP)

  • Still none of the spall liners being modeled

  • The APS still being completely non-functional

  • The VBCI still using the wrong and notably weaker 25mm APFSDS ammunition (should be M919A2, not PMB090 which as far as I’m aware the VBCI has NEVER used)

As more vehicles that should have spall liners are getting added without them, it’s honestly starting to feel like Gaijin is intentionally ignoring their existance for certain vehicles.

The only reason that would make any sense besides incompetence (yes, I said incompetence; you can find pictures of the VBCI’s spall liners with a single search) would be that Gaijin has an intended BR/lineup they want a vehicle to be apart of when they select to add it.

In order to accomplish this, they will selectively implement the immutible characteristics of a new vehicle (be it spall liners or the correct ammunition) to make it fit the pre-determined BR/lineup placement, regardless of how much of a glaring inaccuracy this is in relation to a correct depiction of the vehicle.

As a result I would not be surprised in the slightest if Gaijin leaves the VBCI with a dart it never used, and the complete lack of it’s spall liners.

The snale and people don’t want their line up touch, so that logic to have vehicule without their proper characteristic for now… Look at the VEXTRA, the ammo is wrong, the armour is wrong too, the transmission system isn’t model yet.

We face a catastrophical lack of vehicule for the 9.0 - 12.0 BR for France. So the snale has no choice to fill up line up temporary with wrong vehicule otherwise the french tech tree will be a nightmare to play …

And I’m pretty annoyed they didn’t fix the VBCI-2 (MCT30) with the arrival of a tech tree VCBI, if they want premium to sell at least they need to be good.

As the VBCI has been added as a part of update 2.43 Storm Warning,

Moved to Implemented Suggestions. o7
